Connemara Sands Hotel & Spa

Highly recommend! A stunning hotel and an absolutely beautiful location. Hotel decor on point at every level and throughout, no short cuts taken or spending held back. Rooms super clean, generous size, warm and comfortable. Service in the hotel was incredible throughout and from every Team member, a credit to the owners. Food at breakfast and the dinner menu were both excellent and the highest level. Can’t wait to rebook for a few nights in the summer!

A very disappointing stay, would not recommend We booked a deluxe Double Room with garden view. There was barely enough room to walk around the bed let alone open our suitcases. The bed near enough filled the room. The on-suite door to the shower room opened either onto the basin or onto the bed. There was no bath as shown in the room. Our view was the car park. After a long wait at reception, I asked if we had been given the correct room as it didn't have a garden view. I was told to look past the car park to see the garden. Finally, the air vent on the ceiling was covered up.

This hotel is my happy place. I love to be so close to the ocean (even in October), gorgeous walks, fabulous scenery, amazing customer service and excellent food. Dean, Kathy and family make this hotel, the best on the island. Even as a very large group, we are always welcomed with open arms and nothing is too much trouble. We can’t wait to return in April for the Connemarathon.

We had a nice warm welcome from Marianne who was super helpful and kind. We were really fortunate to have a suite with probably the best views in the hotel - absolutely stunning with the beach from one side and mountains on the other. We had breakfast and evening meal in the hotel, not only was the food amazing but the service was really professional. The location being so close to the beach is unbeatable and we not hesitate to return.

We really enjoyed our stay here for three nights. We opted for the two bed suite which really worked well for us as there were three generations in our party so we all had our own space. It was fresh and spotlessly clean. There was a relaxing lounge area with tea and coffee making facilities. Lovely crisp bed linen and there was an excellent shower with loads of hot water and lovely fluffy towels. There is a really good breakfast selection and I can recommend the full Irish and the pancakes both were excellent. The home made brown bread also deserves a mention a firm favourite each morning. We enjoyed some dinners there too and there was no problem when we asked for some dishes to be served plain to suit one of our party and we also enjoyed a few cocktails. Connemara Sands Hotel is very relaxing, the staff are welcoming and so helpful nothing is too much trouble. It’s beside the sea and offers a lot of options spa/seaweed baths/sauna/easy access to the beach for a lovely walk to name a few.
