They didn’t respond to my email about how to get to the hotel, had to figure it out on my own. Don’t respond to social media messages either which is a shame. The place is hard to get to. The food was alright. But the view makes up for all of the above.

. Sitting in our air-conditioned room overlooking the lake after a kayak trip+ swim, then going to the main deck for a scenic and colorful sunset were the most spectacular moments on our trip. When we booked at the last minute it was the only option available. Due to the high price, which was triple then any of the 5 star hotel we had in Thailand, we hesitated.. The visit included a 1 hour ride by long tail, half board + 2 trips. The staff was extremely nice food was great. Room was comfortable, had all the regular hotel amenities. The lake and the views were spectacular. There was a 1 hour storm while we were there. We where at awe by the force of nature. Later the staff informed us how a unusual it was and that some repairs were needed. In order to compensate we were given full refund. We highly recommend them Not just because this was a memorable experience, the hikes were great, the animal viewing was fun, the staff was kind and food was tasty. A service giver that compensates for things that were not perfect, is one that strives for excellence.

As I’m leaving the resort, I feel extremely pleased with the experience. Is it expensive - yes, is it worth it - totally. We booked 2 nights for our family, chose a Villa and all inclusive. Considering there isn’t any other options around, I feel it was totally the right thing to do. Taxi picking us up from Surat Thani train station and taxi to our Phuket next stop was included, boats to and from the resort included. All activities and food/drinks included. All excursions included. We took the wild life excursion and whilst it was raining (a lot) and we barely saw any animals, it was ok. On this occasion we had a boat with the engine in the middle, it was considerably louder and the engine fumes made me a bit dizzy. I would try to avoid this type of boat. The caves and trail excursion was great, very easy for kids. Do not go on sandals as leaches are to be expected. We had a few attached to our socks but easy to remove. Mai was great fun and very kind to the kids. The main cabins are hot, but we had all day AC included although it wasn’t super potent. It was amazing to have the water one step away from your room. The gentleman swaying of the cabin was ok in the front room. Food was great and we were very well looked after, even when ordering outside the all inclusive set menu. Finally, I had a massage and again, well worth the cost. I loved it. Key take away: it was useful reading the reviews ahead of the visit. Somebody described it as closer to glamping and it was probably the most accurate description. I would recommend doing 2 nights to really enjoy, we did 2 and felt that was sufficient, but 1 night would have been too short. My only improvement would be the to find a way to reduce the wasted waiting time in the morning on the day we arrived. We arrived at Surat Thani at 6:30am and had to wait until 8:30am for the taxi and then until 11:30am in the dockyard to head to the resort.

Mauvais rapport qualite prix Le site est magnifique et vaut toutes les etoiles possible, parlons de l hotel. Il est flottant, c est un bon boin, il a une piscine dans le lac. Les chambres sont rustiques et confortable. Cependant pour le prix, elles ne sont pas la hauteur. Un ventilateur qui grince en tournant, une partie de la cabane flottante grince avec les vaguellettes, car un tenant est dessoude, le kayak etait en mauvais etat et repare a multiple endroit. L eau de la douche part directment dans le lac, 1h d'internet gratuit apres c est payant...Le prix pour moi n est pas en coherence avec la qualite de l'hotel, mais plutot le site. Aucune information via ********** qu il y a des charges a prevoir en plus pour atteindre l hotel. Soit environ 50€ en plus.

Wow! - What an experience - Tech. Detox for 3 days - Back to nature and the relaxing sounds of nature in the world's oldest rainforest at peace. A surprise adventure for my wife and son. We spent 3 days (not enough, at least 3nights/4 days) emersed in the tranquility of nature's beauty - no Wifi - no mobile signal. It did not disappoint. Staying on a floating cabin on the Khao Sok National Park lake, Chiew Larn Lake, with full services appeared to a luxury. It was, but enough to sense how comfortable it was with air-com, fans, shower, toilet, and a really comfy bed. The views were spectacular at dawn, day, and night. Imagine able to dive into the lake immediately from your French window doors into the fresh smoothing fresh lake water after a long sleep or days hiking? - Fully recommended to experience it. To be honest, the facilities are showing signs of usage and would need some level of refurbishment, especially the showers and toilets. Also to add, the owner has another new resort on the lake recently opened at 360 Issara, as we had lunch there, though very modern it did not have the practicalities of 500Rai. At 500Rai the services and the staff were just perfect. Professional, friendly, and Thai, especially Pukky, a park tour guide, service personnel, and friend, she took care of us very well. The tours are well organised, but not against the nature's weather. We were hit with a downpour and were completely soaked after our Safari tour (Bison, Elephants, monkeys, etc.) was cut short during the longboat ride back to the resort - another fun experience. Being isolated, the food choice depended and limited upon the resort. Though the choices were good, especially the Thai dishes, the quality of Western dishes were good, but not what you would expect in terms of expected taste profiles. Otherwise, nothing to criticize about. - Know your expectations! The 2x night/3-day stay was short, but we will be back very soon!
