We chose the place because of the proximity to the BTS Ploenchit Station. It was very convenient.
The 1-1 dinner buffet was a steal, for the price. Food selection was wide, although the sashimi did not look very fresh - but for that price, it would be highly unreasonable to complain about that. The service staff was excellent, and welcomed my partner to take a chamomile teabag every evening to our room, as the tea bags supplied did not include the chamomile blend. We were very appreciative.
Service all over were excellent. Our room had a super old TV, which had very few channels, and the images were all snowy and grainy. I informed the reception about it and they immediately sent two men to check. They then told me the TV was "the old type", and through my limited Thai, I concluded that it was not suited for the new cable connection. The reception then offered to change the TV the next morning, and the two men came again, and changed it and it was much better. Although the CNN and BBC channels seemed to take turns between them to be watchable! But no real complaints.
I read quite a bit about this service staff "Tangmoh" (Thai nickname for "watermelon") at the bar/restaurant at the lobby - the comments on various Trip Advisor reviews were very commendable about her, and I must say she was excellent - great service and very pleasant. And the "premium breakfast set" served there was great value - at 199 baht for a set which includes one main and a glass of fresh juice and coffee/tea/capucino/latte selection - not too heavy compared to going for the breakfast buffet.
One of the lifts was out of operation throughout the duration of our stay (6 nights).
