My experience at Krungthai Hotel was a mix of pros and cons. To start with the positives, the room itself was clean, functional, and overall in decent condition. The bed was comfortable enough for a good night's rest, the air conditioning worked fine, and basic amenities were provided. In terms of comfort and cleanliness, the room performed its core job adequately.
However, the main issue lies in the massive gap between expectation and reality. The room was noticeably old and heavily dated. The furniture showed clear signs of wear and tear, the decor felt stuck in a past decade, and the overall ambiance lacked the modern touch shown online.
When booking, the photos on their official page displayed bright, updated, and stylish rooms. Unfortunately, the room I was assigned looked completely different. It felt like a classic case of using heavily edited or outdated photos for marketing purposes. While nothing was broken or outright unusable, the discrepancy between the promotional images and the actual room was disappointing.
If you are just looking for a functional and clean place to sleep for a night or two without caring much about modern design, this hotel is fine. However, management seriously needs to update their online photos to reflect the current state of their rooms so guests know exactly what to expect. Would I stay here again? Only if I needed a budget option, but I certainly wouldn't expect the polished experience promised on their page.
