DONG PHUONG HOTEL & RESTAURANT

I stayed for 2 nights at the start of May 2025 Pros: -Bed is comfortable and the pillows are comfortable too. The bed mattress is medium-firm like a 8-8.5/10 in firmness, just the way i like it. -clean -aircon works well -shower is glassed and has plenty of hot water. -bathroom sink is large enough to put your things on the sides. -receptionist is very polite and helpful and has good service, i think her name is Loan, very nice lady. -the breakfast is good, it is a Vietnamese breakfast only, there are eggs as well and it has a good view. -level 6 outside area has a lovely view around Bao Loc. -97.6mbps download and 91.3mbps upload speed, mobile speed tested. wifi is very fast. -decent room size with a lot of space and a wardrobe to stuff too. -scooter rental at hotel is 200k dong per day Cons: -Black out curtains are not really black out because there's a gap at the top that lets a lot of light through in the morning so the curtain doesn't really do much. -a lot of noise in the morning from the chairs being dragged across during breakfast time which is from 6:30-9:30am. So around 6:30-7am you will likely wake up especially if you are on level 5 which is just below the breakfast level. -they allow smoking in the breakfast/restaurant area on level 6. -the toilet roll holder cannot be used as the toilet roll is one solid chunk, not the usual one with a cylinder hole in the middle. -no tissue box provided. -shower pressure could be better but i didn't mind it. It was a mediumish pressure. Overall rating: 8.8/10 It's a good hotel other than the black out curtain which doesn't do much and shines bright light into your room in the morning and the noise but i guess if you pick a lower room level and maybe have a room on the left side, so the side not towards the entrance of the hotel and it will probably be better. We were away from the elevator so that didn't bother us. I would recommend it but with caveats, hopefully the hotel improves those aspects.
