Moseley Cottage Inn and the Town Motel

This is our second stay at this inn. We stayed in the Jordon Pond room in the main inn. I would absolutely recommend staying at this inn. It not only is a great location the innkeepers maintain the property very well. Which is a major accomplishment for a 100+ year old house. The breakfast is outstanding. Plus, it is room service. Each morning we ate on the porch. Which was always quiet for day and night. Each morning I woke up early and took advantage of a short walk to the shore path to watch the sun come up. While my wife enjoyed sleeping in until breakfast was delived at the time of her choosing. We hope to return in the future.

beautiful B&B! Large clean room, comfy bed, delightful outdoor porch and seating area! The breakfast was large, hot, delicious and delivered to your room at the time you pick! We loved everything about this property, especially the location! Highly recommend!

This hotel is usually advertised as “Moseley Cottage Inn and The Town Motel”. The Inn is a large Victorian House and the rooms in that part were booked so we were assigned to a room at the “Town Motel” ,and I would describe it as well below average and well into needing serious renovation. The location of Moseley Cottage Inn and The Town Motel is great, but the Town Motel reminds me of the TV Show Schitts Creek. The small room with a window Air Conditioner and an awkward bathroom appears to not have been updated in decades. Guest parking is right outside the door, 10 feet from the bed, so cars and their lights are right outside of your room. It feels a little sketchy. In addition to the subpar motor lodge I found the staff at the front desk to be unfriendly and unwelcoming. I will find another place to stay on my next visit to Bar Harbor.

So very pleased with our stay. We stayed in a motel room for 2 nights. Positives- -towels were super soft -location! Easily walkable to most restaurants in town -water pressure was great. And the hot water was hot! -clean Things to improve on -parking spaces are narrow. Especially when 2 very large vehicles were parked either side of us (we drive a CRV). -bathroom sink area a bit dated

We are thoroughly enjoying our long weekend stay here! While I love our room (The Precipice), I’d upgrade to have a balcony next time! Comfortable bed, very clean linens and room. Love the windows that open and a fan for great cross breezes up on the 3rd floor. Plus a split a/c unit to cool the room on warm afternoons. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast delivered to the room. The small issues that we had were quickly resolved. Great location. I’d definitely return!

The bed was really comfy and the location was perfect for strolling around Bar Harbor. We were thankful to be able to stay in town. Walk to Limon Grille...excellent food!
