Service was great, location great, onsite restaurant was great. It is a really old historic property in a lovely village location with gorgeous old thatch-roofed properties within a short stroll. With the A11 right outside, you might be put off, but our room (facing the A11) was sooo quiet. Our room, the Flying Cow, had a huge shower, and a lovely bed.
I would stay there again, but as we are moving house to a location nearby, it is unlikey
Oh, bye the way, the breakfast was excellent

What an over priced disappointment. We went for Sunday lunch, started off with a couple of drinks, a G&T and a pint was £20. We both went for a roast, I had beef and the wife went for the 3 meat roast option. The outside tables were dirty and nobody came to wipe them while we we there, the food took almost 40 minutes to arrive. The beef was almost inedible, all gritle and fat, my wife's chicken crown was actually a breast quarter with wing. The pork was fine. Roast potatoes were not fully cooked and hard, they certainly didn't have a crispy skin. Yorkshire puddings were okay. You got about a quarter of a roast carrot, a tiny blob of watery, swede mash and a bit of savoy cabbage. We added on cauliflower cheese which was just mush and some honey glazed pigs in blankets which had no glaze. All these delights cost over £60, that was over £80 for the whole meal. An absolute disgrace and complete rip off. We enjoy fine dining and have absolutely no problem paying top dollar for good food. If we'd have paid £20 for this we might have said at least it was only £10 each. I absolutely mean this, Toby Carvery is miles better than this place. Avoid it.

We love the Bull, just a few issues this time that were sorted but shame as should never have happened. Booked dinner for 18:45, first table shown to had obviously been used with cutlery missing and table dirty. Second table was in very dark area so couldn’t read menus. Third was fine and the food was excellent, so was the atmosphere. Other issue we had was with the shower, we’re not thick but couldn’t get the shower to work, no book was in room giving any details or instructions on anything. At breakfast the hot water boiler for tea was empty of water but switched on. Only here for one night so didn’t complain about shower. But on saying all this we still like the Bull and will visit again.

Beautiful hotel and restaurant. The best vegan burger ever and the vegan breakfast was lovely. Our room was lovely with modern bathroom. Very clean throughout and quirky. I’m the Amy Winehouse tribute who spoke with Darnie when checking out. We will be back. Xxx

The service is generally good, though but not excellent. If you enjoy this kind of service, it can be a nice option. However, for example, once I couldn’t have lunch because the kitchen was closed, and I’m not sure why!?

Our lovely waitress Freya was attentive and helpful. This was our family’s first outing here and we enjoyed the food! My kids continue to rave about the soda’s!

My family decided to try this pub for the first time, there was a limited menu due to a few out of stock meals, despite this the meals we chose were still good. We had Freya looking after our table, she was welcoming and made sure we were happy. The only thing I’d have to say is the coleslaw had copious amounts of mayonnaise and lacked the cabbage, carrots and onions. Was just a pot full of mayo. Lovely atmosphere and good service.

Lovely pub in a great location for us.We were in a group of 6. The service was good and portions were as expected. We were however disappointed with some of the food which was either undercooked, overcooked or cold. We did ask for the cold food to be heated which they did quickly.

Went for dinner as a weekend treat and whilst the girls working were lovely, the food was exceptionally average and honestly not worth the price that it is charged at, which was massively disappointing (nearly £100 for dinner for 3 people) We wouldn’t go back here for food.
