Grand Hotel les Trois Rois

I visited Hotel Les Trois Rois during Art Basel, expecting high standards of hospitality, safety, and professionalism. Instead, I encountered a deeply misogynistic and discriminatory attitude, particularly from the hotel security staff. This hotel is shockingly unfriendly towards women. Any man can make even the slightest comment about a woman—guest or visitor—and security will immediately side with the man without investigating or listening to the woman’s side of the story. It was alarming to witness such blind favoritism and bias. This kind of outdated, patriarchal behavior has no place in modern Switzerland, let alone in a hotel that markets itself as "luxury" and "world-class." The behavior I observed from staff was not just dismissive but completely unprofessional and unacceptable. As a woman, I did not feel safe, welcome, or respected. It felt like stepping into another era—one where a woman’s word meant nothing and male guests held all the power, no matter how inappropriate or unfounded their behavior was. If you value equality, dignity, and respectful treatment, I urge you to stay elsewhere. Art Basel brings international visitors who expect a cosmopolitan level of service. Les Trois Rois failed spectacularly on that front. This is not just a bad hotel experience—it's a shame for Swiss hospitality as a whole. Avoid this hotel if you're a woman traveling alone, with friends, or simply someone who believes in fair treatment.

Perfekter Service, klassische Hotellerie mit Stil, grossartiges Interieur, stilvolle Zimmer (man sollte immer Rheinblick mit Balkon wählen), schöne Terrasse, stilvolle Bar und ein Stück Himmel: das Cheval Blanc mit seinen Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern und dem genialen Herrn Knogl, der immer wieder zeigt, das drei Michelin-Sterne, 19 G.M. Punkte sicher verdient sind, die Auszeichnungen nicht annähernd das Erlebnis und den Genuss zu schildern vermögen.

Wir haben unsere Hochzeitsnacht hier verbringen dürfen und kommen gar nicht mehr aus dem Schwärmen raus! Die wunderschöne Lage, das tolle Zimmer und das hervorragende Frühstück kommen erst recht zur Geltung, wenn man von so freundlichen Mitarbeitenden betreut wird. We loved and admired everything about this hotel. The staff was exemplary, the room lovely, and the food delicious. The destination restaurant in the hotel, the Michelin 3 star Cheval Blanc, is, truly, a destination restaurant…imaginative, creative, delicious, and the service was simply superb. But the hotel’s other restaurant, the Brasserie was also superb …for breakfast as well as dinner…just not quite at the aspirational level of Cheval. Which is as it should be. They are doing different things. The food in the bar is also very good…with as good a BLT as one might want.

Von der Reservierung bis zur Abreise, alles war top. Sogar in der Bar war für uns ein Platz reserviert und danach wurden wir abgeholt zum Essen. Sehr freundliches Personal und das Essen ein Erlebnis. Auch das Buffet am Morgen liess keine Wünsche offen. Bravo.

Fantastic hotel in great location. Epitome of the Swiss hotel. Beautiful views and walking distance to most things. Morning walks along the river are a great way to start the day. The food in the hotel is exceptional. The bar is a great place to meet or unwind at the end of the day.
