Nice pub and accommodation Friendly staff good food, we had breakfast and evening meal, all top notch Plenty of parking Our room was in a small block of rooms all ground level Clean and tidy, tea and coffee making facilities in room We had a bath with over head shower, maybe a rail might be a good idea

Really nice accommodation and super friendly staff. Only a short stay but made to feel really welcome. Would 100% recommend a stay or just food and a drink.

A great pub. Really lovely staff. Very quiet. Our onlly complaint would be that the toilet cistern was running all the time in our room. This had been mentioned in the guests feedback book but was still not sorted. What a waste of water.

We stayed this week here for a wedding at Silchester farm, we stayed for two nights and there were 5 of us in 3 rooms. Rooms were clean and basic as expected! The food was lovely and the breakfast was really good! We got down for 9.07 when the breakfast and finished at 9 and they still accommodated us which we were so grateful for! The lady who checked us in and served us was so lovely and friendly! Definitely would recommend this little country B&B

Food Only This used to be a great, country pub but has gone through a number of owners and is not what it once was - our local pub. The food was average and the service confused - most items were off and the pub admitted it had only got two eggs left! How is this possible? The two ladies serving were very pleasant but the table we ate at had liquid spilled on it and that stayed there, ignored. Wait time was long but that did not matter especially but the food was lacklustre - just ordinary - greasy, flabby onion rings and I had not wanted particularly wanted a burger but it seemed safest, in lieu of much else. Wine and beer were fine. No interesting specials that were actually available. Not terrible but could be so much better and back to how it used to be.

Food and service was good but I felt it was slightly overpriced for the food that we received. The food was very basic, scampi and fish and chips nothing on the menu really warranted the cost. I’m not sure that u would make the effort to go again although it was nice.

Atmosphere and decor together with the very good bar. Staff made the visit very enjoyable are seating Was laid out on the Long table to the rear of the bar area. Nicely laid out. The service from the service was excellent and the three course Christmas dinner which we all enjoyed great. I did feel that the extra around £11 for a cheeseboard was a bit expensive considering the amount of product that was presented but we all had a really good meal and a good time.
