很完美的酒店，cavendish 家族的產業並經營。餐食很好，2020年的米其林，食材是自己的供應渠道。早餐豐盛。步行30分鐘可達Chatsworth House，這個季節，如果你不怕風吹的話。一路滿眼草坪和🐑，如果你看過“傲慢與偏見”，這裡是必須來的地方。

Disappointing we stayed for 3 nights in June this year, the location is perfect for visiting the estate, and surrounding area, the attitude of some members of staff made our stay Disappointing, we were made to feel in the way, the simplest request was met with the disdain, so sorry to have to suffer it,

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at this welcoming hotel, which offers stunning views of the Derbyshire countryside. We were very pleased with our excellent, quiet room—thank you for the upgrade! —as well as the tasteful interior decor, the delicious dinner on the terrace, the superb cooked breakfast, and the consistently professional service. We’d love to return one day for another memorable visit—and hopefully walk all the way to Chatsworth...

Well what can I say We had Afternoon tea on Friday the 20th of June 2025 at the Cavendish.... Still waiting for the manager to get back to me ( think he's busy with a lot of trainee staff shadowing him)...to be honest I find this an average afternoon tea, which I find very over rated anyway.... Anyway the young lady who first served us was very good & attentive, it was towards the end of our visit that it went down hill ....we was very overwhelmed with the amount of cream cakes pastries ..so hence we had a few items left over, we were told earlier don't worry we are able to box up any items left over to take home .... Another server approached us asking if we had finished , to which we said yes Thank you & can we have the remainder boxed up...she stood back rolled her eyes & said "Really"!!!! But they could provide us with boxes for us to fill ourselves, boxes brought to the table & they was not put together fully for us & no utensils provided (think this is totally unacceptable at almost £120 a couple 😡) should of taken the food away & done this behind closed doors!!!! ...

A good stay and we met up with family and friends. We took the option of an allowance towards our dinner. We dine in the garden room which was very pleasant and we we had our nephew and his wife as our guests. We only spent approximately half of our food allowance but we were told that we had lost the remainder. It seems to me it would have been fair to take the allowance of the total food bill for the four of us. I complained and they offered the chance to use the remaining amount at lunch the next day but we had just eaten a large breakfast and could only manage a sandwich for lunch I was not asked what would make me happy only what the manager thought was fair. I would have been happy to take a gift voucher but this was not offered. The whole episode left me feeling overcharged and disappointed.

My husband and I stayed for one night at the Cavendish Hotel at Baslow. I enjoyed being able to walk from the hotel to Chatsworth House and its extensive grounds. We were able to buy tickets from the hotel, as well, which was a time-saver. Drinks and dinner at the hotel were fantastic and our room was very comfortable. Every staff member was gracious and attentive. After departure I realized that I had left my watch in the room. I called the hotel from the airport and they retrieved it immediately, packaged it in bubble wrap, and mailed it to me in the States. I received it in less than a week. In this day and age, that is going beyond the call of duty and I appreciate their efforts in returning my favorite watch to me. Thank you Cavendish Hotel!

A friend and I were at The Cavendish on June 10th 2025 for Afternoon Tea and it was great. The staff were so helpful and the food was lovely. We ended up taking the cakes home as we were ful from the sandwichs, sausage roll, scones and tea. Have been several times for lunch and twice now for Afternoon Tea and every time the service and food is very good and the staff very helpful.

Went for Sunday lunch as a birthday treat. Location was beautiful as is the Garden room, but very disappointed with the meal. The meat was so full of fat , the lamb inedible. Was offered a steak knife to try and cut it! Staff didn’t seem that bothered. Real shame
