Incredibly nice and excellent - the team foremost, and everything else! A very warm welcome, highly attentive service, superb location, excellent lodge and accommodation, great excursions (Casa Cayuco Trail, Mangrove snorkelling, Salt Creek village). Fantastic guide. Great captains. Yummy homemade food and superb cocktails. The right balance between comfort and environmentally responsible. Gotta go soon again!

I cannot rave enough about how amazing our stay was at Casa Cayuco! It was recommended by another traveler we met in Costa Rica and the reviews don’t lie! Meals were amazing we all sat at one table which was awesome because we were able to meet the other travelers as well and shared many stories! The staff- Alondra, Lady, Jose and all the others were attentive, kept us well informed, guided us on activities and were just fun to be around! The water was beautiful, the dock was an evening and morning spot to hang out, swim, fish or my favorite- read in the over the water nets in the afternoon. We kayaked, paddle boarded, snorkeled and swam every day. We did not want to leave and almost came very close to extending- now being home I wish we had!!! Truly a Caribbean paradise!!!

Casa Cayuco met every expectation and more. My family and our friends all stayed at the villa and had a great time. The staff went above and beyond in every step of the way. Our trip started with an easy transfer to their location. They set up the rooms to our specifications, so all the kids could be in the same room. Every meal had our family in mind and they sat down with you daily to see what they could do better. The excursions were great, although we also had a blast just using the free equipment and playing in the water. The staff was kind, friendly and seemed to truly enjoy being part of your stay. Alondra, Lady, Jose along with the rest of the staff made it a stay we will not soon forget!

We had the most wonderful stay at Casa Cayuco. My wife and I travelled with our two children and it was the best vacation we could have asked for. The beach was just steps away from the house and the sand is nice with calm, shallow water perfect for the kids to swim in. We stayed in the Estrella del Mar house that was very spacious and comfortable with 3 large bedrooms with AC in the rooms. The food was all freshly prepared and the staff took great care to make our stay magical for our family - can't recommend this place enough. Worth every penny!

I can't say enough good things about Casa Cayuco. I haven't felt so relaxed in years. My kids were in heaven. It is very small and private so it does not feel like any resort I've ever been to. We stayed in the "Mono" cabin which was amazing; so private and each morning we could see a family of monkeys swing by outside. The oceanfront is perfect for relaxing as the water is comfortably warm and it's so shallow near the shore you can just sort of lay in the ocean and hang out. We also enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards and it was a very safe environment for our kids to try them out. Each morning the manager would come by to discuss what "adventures" we wanted to try that day and then everything was immediately and smoothly taken care of. They were very attentive to detail and even noticed that we had become friendly with another family and made sure to accommodate us together for the excursions, all of which we enjoyed immensely. The one thing I would say is that the accommodations are rustic (almost like glamping) and the vibe laid back. If you are looking to swan about a fancy resort to see and be seen in designer gear, look elsewhere. If you want to make fantastic family memories and truly be immersed in nature, this is your place.

Wir haben diese Unterkunft als völlig überteuert empfunden. Zusätzlich zu den teuren Zimmerpreisen und den regulären Steuern mussten wir noch eine zusätzliche Hotelsteuer bezahlen – insgesamt beliefen sich die Steuern für vier Nächte auf 500 $. „All-Inclusive“ bedeutete, dass man den ganzen Tag über kostenlos Regenwasser trinken konnte. Zum Frühstück gab es zusätzlich noch Kaffee, Tee oder Saft. Insgesamt war der Service für diese Preisklasse sehr dürftig. Der Zimmerservice wurde nur sporadisch durchgeführt. Positiv zu erwähnen sind die gute Lage, die Kajaks und die Surfbretter. Die angebotenen Ausflugsfahrten erinnerten jedoch eher an eine Kaffeefahrt. Die Rückfahrt mit dem Taxi zur Hauptinsel außerhalb der geplanten Zeiten kostete zudem 100 € extra.

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt im Casa Cayuco absolut nicht! Wir haben knapp 2.800 Dollar für 4 Nächte (2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder) bezahlt , dies war total überteuert für die erhaltene Leistung. Das Zimmer Rana wird mit einer Größe von 40 qm angegeben. Es ist jedoch max. 25 qm inkl. Bad groß. Das Zimmer Rana war für 4 Personen viel zu klein. Unsere Koffer mussten wir unter den Betten verstauen, weil es keinen Platz gab. Die Zimmer sind sehr einfach ausgestattet (nur Betten und Regale), was eher einem Hostel als einem Hotel in der Preisklasse entspricht. All inclusive beinhaltet ein überschaubares Frühstück, Mittagessen, Nachmittagssnack und Abendessen. Außerdem steht Regenwasser tagsüber zum Trinken zur Verfügung. Das Zimmer Rana befindet sich im Haupthaus. Das Essen findet unmittelbar unter dem Zimmer statt. Aufgrund der fehlenden Fensterscheiben war es daher häufig laut im Zimmer. 2x täglich werden überteuerte Ausflugsangebote gemacht - die Preise liegen je Ausflug bei ca. 65 Dollar pro Erwachsenen/ Kinder ca. 32 Dollar. Verschiedene Gäste berichteten, dass beim Schnorcheln an unterschiedlichen Tagen so viele Quallen waren, dass man ihnen nicht entkommen konnte, was sehr schmerzhaft war. Am Abreisetag erfolgt der Transfer um 12.30 Uhr. Möchte man zu einer anderen Uhrzeit zur Hauptinsel kostet es 100 Dollar extra. Positiv zu erwähnen ist die kostenlose Nutzung der Kajaks/ Surfbretter und das Abendessen am Dock am letzten Abend. Aufgrund des viel zu hohen Preises können wir die Unterkunft nicht weiterempfehlen.

A fantastic place. Everything is at your own pace, with plenty of daily activities to do or to relax by/in the water. The food is pescatarian and wonderful!! Fresh and tasty. We were there for a week and never had a duplicate meal. The people/staff are all wonderful, offering good advice and companionship.

Wow, just wow. This place is so amazing. The food, the scenery, the peaceful, laid back vibe, the incredibly kind and friendly staff… all of it was just perfect. If you are looking for an off the beaten path, sustainable adventure in nature, this is your place! We loved our gorgeous food, the delicious, mostly vegetarian food, the relaxing space and plenty of adventures to choose from if you want to snorkel, explore monkey island, bat caves and more! You can also just put your feet up and chill. This is a really special place. Thank you Alondra, Paola, Jose and all the team!
