The hotel is situated in beautiful grounds Reception is impressive. Cannot fault anything, the reception is functional and attentive. The rooms are clean and tidy and the maids clean the room every day. The food is also very very extensive you will find what you are looking for from beautiful muscles and prawns to meats pastors chips. Anything you want. The only thing I didn’t find there which surprised me was hot Mexican food .with lots of South American quests Pool great beech has a free bar Night entertainment is very Spanish Bars have all spirits cocktails Special thanks to the Director and his Assistant who aided us in a incident with a car hire company Great for families

We arrived the 3rd of july and stayed for a 10 day holiday. Reading the reviews i was worried for this holiday however this was definitely a holiday to remember! when we arrived our bags where taken up to the room for us, our room had a king sized bed, fridge, optics, and a swan made from towels covered in flower petals. the staff where absolutely amazing. As a family coming from london we where worried because of people complaining about how they treated the english people. but i have no idea what they’re talking about, we couldn’t fault the staff at all. all the staff where extremely friendly and ran to give us everything they need, especially brandy. the pool was 24hr on all days expect 2 of the days, the pool was clean and well looked after. tipping is highly appreciated. the bar close to the entertainment was always busy, but due to tipping someone would always cater to us immediately. the buffet was repetitive some days but the food was good and catered to everyone. the drinks in our fridges where refilled everyday and if asked they will give you extra drinks. we left a dollar tip out everyday for the cleaner, when we would return to our room it would be spotless with an animal made from towels. i highly recommend this hotel, it is a little outdated but they’re revamping it soon so nothing to complain about. amazing holiday!

My wife and I stayed at the Riu Naiboa in May 2023 for 11 nights. We arrived quite late after a long flight and transfer so we were pleased to be checked in quickly and efficiently. The room we were given was 430, which was a great location on the top floor overlooking the pool and not too far from the lifts. We were initially a little disappointed with the room, as on entering we found a long aluminium trim ***** behind the beds hanging off the wall across the pillows! As it was late we just removed the ***** and left it for the maintenance team to reinstate. The rooms are a bit dated and tired, with old dark wood furniture and a small tv on the wall. The bathroom was also a bit underwhelming, functional but with one or two chipped tiles here and there, and in the shower there was a square metal drain cover that was loose and damaged, which would have been quite sharp and unpleasant if you were to catch your foot on it. The beds are quite firm but not uncomfortable. The first night and a few after that were quite noisy - lots of guests clip-clopping up and down the corridor through the night and doors banging etc, and noisy guests outside around the pool until very late. We also discovered that our toilet had a slight leak from the cistern into the pan which meant it constantly refilled itself every ten minutes or so right through the night. We solved that problem by turning off the water supply to the toilet each night. Our balcony was great, not overlooked from the front or from our neighbours either side, so we were able to sunbathe naked every morning with a cup of tea before breakfast. We brought our own kettle to make tea, but there is a pour-and-serve filter coffee machine in the room, and the coffee and filters are provided. The maid service was excellent, with the beds made, towels changed and floors mopped daily without fail. In the mornings we went to the main Cohiba restaurant where all meals are provided. The array and choice of food is absolutely amazing - there is everything you could possibly think of, and all of the best quality too, we were very impressed. The only slight negative is that there are no coffee machines in the restaurant. I am not sure if this is normal in the Caribbean, but all the European hotels we have stayed at have had coffee machines where you could help yourself to espresso, cappuccino and macchiato etc. At the Naiboa however, filter coffee is prepared back of house in a bulk brewer and dispensed via airpot jugs in the restaurant, so a daily hunt was required for the jugs, which seem to be guarded quite closely by the waiters - I was chastised on more than one occasion for helping myself! For tea drinkers like myself there are teabags and a hot water boiler, but as is often the case, the water is not quite hot enough to brew the tea sufficiently. Normally this problem is solved with a quick blast in the microwave oven, but unfortunately there was not one provided in the restaurant. Cold drinks are plent

Horrible service, construction noise the whole time,food is soggy and terrible, drinks are like gasoline, rooms are dilapidated and only half the stuff works, mini bar is a joke, room service does not deliver and elevators are always broken! Do not stay at this resort save your money and go somewhere else!

Just got back from The Bravaro after travelling with my husband and stepson. The first piece of advice I would give is, depending on your age range, upgrade to adults only ,that section is well worth it, we upgraded at the reception upon arrival and you can have the best of both worlds. The main pool is lively with a DJ and to be totally honest the pool area can get a bit untidy. The monticristo restaurant is the main one and does have a very basic dress code which is basically no wet pool clothes and of an evening, cover up to a respectable level. You don't need to book the a la carte restaurants, it's first come first serve. As for the staff attitude, 20% of them either don't want to be there or don't want you there, we were told under no uncertain terms by the bar tender in the sports bar that he didn't like the British and he made it totally clear that we weren't welcome in his eyes. When my family complained about his discrimination and racism toward us we were told by the bloke on reception "he can't understand English so couldn't possibly have said it??" Which was a total smoke screen. There is definitely a dislike toward the British. Not all staff have this attitude but it does seem to be a problem amongst some. I think Riu should invest in placing some of their English staff there to see first hand the woeful attitude some of the Bravaro staff have . The rooms are big we never had any problems, the maid only cleaned the room 3 times in a week. I will say check inside you kettle, when I first wanted to use kettle in middle of night I didn't want to put light on incase of waking others so I shone my phone torch into the kettle only to see tiny tiny mites all over the tea area and in the kettle that scurried away from the torch. Needless to say we never used that area for the whole holiday and got tea coffee from the restaurant. I am in two minds if this hotel is 5 star but I think it's higher than a 4 so I reckon its the lower end of 5. As for the work on the hotel nearby being knocked down we never heard anything until the last day but even then it wasn't a problem as not that loud.

The rooms were clean and room service was excellent.The food was also good and the staff was friendly. The only problem I had was the mosquitoes that came out in the late evening at the pool area and also in the room. But I would definitely return and pack my mosquito spray 😅.
