La Finca - Luxury Suites Hotel

Disappointed The hotel is nice and clean. But not advertised a king bed and a sofabed, and only the king bed was made up. I’m sure I could have gotten linens for the sofabed but I should it have had to go through the hassle. The hotel advertises itself as suites but really is one big room. There are cubbies for clothing and a coat rack if you need to hang anything. It’s no suite, just a room and not even a dresser or better if they wanted to. All they have to do is buy an armoire. The room is filled with Knick knacks, which are unnecessary.

This “hotel” is not a hotel, nor has it “luxury suites”, it’s certainly is not 5-star as it says on the sign outside the door. It starts with reception: There isn’t any. That’s right, there are no visible people working here. There is a phone number you can ring and self check-in. If I wanted an AirBNB I would have gone to one. There is no reception, no breakfast, bar, coffee, restaurant. Nothing. Our “suite” is a large-ish hotel room, decoration also looks like an Airbnb, thrown together quickly to make a quick and dishonest buck. As somebody else said, it’s misleading.

We stayed in the owner's new La Finca hotel nearby that he just opened, not far from this one. It's still under construction in places so they worked around us and with us. Whenever we found and pointed out things that needed fixing and improving they took care of it right away. WiFi was only spotty at first, but after a day they had redone their network and had it working great. Everything at this place is brand new of course. Not sure I would call them all "luxury" suites (at the new hotel, anyway) but they are immaculately clean, beautiful and well furnished and stocked. I was also able to hook up my laptop to the big TV which made working from my laptop a lot easier. (Be sure to bring all the cables and adapters you will need.) The owner and the rest of the crew are INCREDIBLE. They really aim to please and bent over backwards; they went above and beyond the call for us. One of our group is handicapped and couldn't make it up the large step in front of this hotel when we arrived (the city took away his ramp which he plans to restore) so the owner came right over and drove us to the new one, helping her with everything all the way to her room. Whatever we needed they were there for us. There are all kinds of shops and restaurants within walking distance with incredible, delicious meals. Just remember that everything owned/run by Jewish folks is closed for Shabbat -- Friday afternoon to Saturday evening. They also helped with the best and most honest taxi drivers (saved us a lot of NIS back to the airport) and with translating for us when we needed help with that. If you want a kitchen be sure to ask for a room with one. A microwave is centrally located near the room, but he's still working on it and put one in our handicapped friend's room for her. Hairdryer and some other goodies included. The neighborhood is very quiet, though a bit run down in some places (buildings and structures are up to 150 years old)! We felt very safe though at all hours. If we ever visit Beersheba again this is where we will stay! Wonderful!

La Finca is a small, well located boutique hotel near central Beer Sheva. Large rooms, very clean. Comfortable beds, and quiet rooms. Good A/C. Unlike most boutique hotels I have used in Israel, this one has no food service. But one can find a restaurant or coffee shop nearby. No 24/7 service on-site, but someone showed us to our three rooms in daytime (phone number if at night). We had to prepay, through a booking online service, and I am unsure if one can book directly with this particular hotel. One leaves the (real) key in box by main entry door, upon checking out. I definitely would use this hotel again when in Beer Sheva. It was a lovely experience, despite its slightly different set-up in terms of service
