Dream Apartments - the Obel Building

Apartments were lovely but will never ever go again checked out 7 days ago still haven’t gotten my deposit back, I was not told about the deposit until I was checking in, I was told it was a preauthorisation and would get it a few days after I checked out upon checking out I was told it would be 2 weeks (by a different person) 7 days later no refund it’s January and bills have to be paid so I am not happy! I was also told I had to pay for parking upon check in again nothing on the website about this. A disgrace trying to get money out of people after they have already paid for their trip. Might I also add I emailed regarding the deposit 4 days ago And no one in dream apartments bothered to reply to my email I understand in retail it’s busy but 4 days later no reply what a joke I will never recommend this place to stay ever to anyone

Booked in December 24 for a gig in the Belfast Empire on May 7th 25. Found out after booking that the latest I could cancel was December 24! Now had no intention of doing so but last week, end of April, Ticketmaster informed me that the concert was cancelled. I then tried to call Dream Apartments to cancel and see if they might offer me a deal again or even be kind enough to refund the booking . Not a reply on the number in 4 days of trying to get them and no reply via email to the 2 messages sent to their address in Belfast. Agoda, the booking company I used to book the apartment was also unable to contact them in a week.I had sent an automated message through Agoda to see if Dream Apartments would take the circumstances I had outlined into consideration for a refund. Today, 2nd May, Agoda have still not been able to contact Dream Apartment and informed me my money was now lost due to the cancellation. So all I can say is watch what you are getting yourself into if you have a booking problem with this "Dream Apartment "

DO NOT STAY HERE. FILTHY APARTMENTS...!!! Nothing like what is advertised on their website. The whole of the apartment was dirty and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly for a long time. You are not even staying in the big tower that is advertised, you stay in a building beside the Opel tower which is smaller. On arrival the apartment felt spacious, definitely enough for our needs. At a closer look, the rooms were all dirty, thick with black dust. I'm saying black because it was months of dust. No way the amount of dust we saw was a few weeks old which still would have been bad. The floor was sticky in parts so immediately, it told us that it hadn't been mopped. There are no curtains just blinds with a lot of stains on them (they're white) and a lot of them are broken so not the greatest if you're wanting privacy. The fridge/freezer was not the cleanest. My friend asked in the nicest possible way if she could borrow a mop and bucket to mop the floor because there was a few spillages and in some parts the floor was sticky. It obviously hit a nerve because the looks she received after that were so unprofessional. They told her they would do it when we were going out. Did they? Of course, not. After that apart from two other receptionist who were not present at the time of my friend asking for a mop, we never got a smile or hello from the staff. They walked past us as if we were not there. When we were out disinfectant wipes were bought so we could clean the apartment as much as we could with the wipes we had. The sponge for the dishes they provided was so filthy and disgusting so I used a wipe to wash the dishes thereafter. My friend washed every single cutlery, glasses, cups, oven tray etc... even after that, I tried not to use them because it still put me off. I never took my shoes off once unless I was getting in the shower or bed. My friend's socks were absolutely black with dirt. We actually went to Primark to buy pillow cases. As much as the bedding looked clean, I still did not feel positive they were and felt so uncomfortable putting my head/face on the pillow. I actually felt more comfortable with a brand new, unwashed pillow case bought from Primark than I did with theirs. That's saying something. There is no brush or mop/bucket provided in the apartments. That would be ok if there was cleaners daily... they're isn't. So if you're there for a few days, of course spillages, crumbs etc will happen and you have nothing to brush anything up. The oven was dirty, not sure if it has ever had a deep clean. The pictures on their website show a beautiful, modern and clean apartment... THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU GET AT ALL. The location is great, that's the only positive feedback I can give on this place. There is a flyover opposite one side of the apartments. It is very noisy with cars from early in the morning until late at night. Definitely not good for light sleepers, especially. Apart from location , there was little to recommend this property. There were problems checking in and we were asked to return later when the problem had been resolved. A problem with the ******* booking system apparently. The apartment was spartan. Broken shower and bin in the bathroom. Lamps with no bulbs in the lounge. Kitchen bin not been emptied. Hot water was accessible through pressing a Boost button in a cupboard. We had not been told about this so thought there was no hot water. Later that evening I cut my foot on small shards of white plastic on the bedroom floor. Poor cleaning. In the morning, when a receptionist was available at 10am I complained and asked to be moved to an alternative apartment. There was no apology for the issues at all. I was initially told by the receptionist that she was unable to help without a manager's supervision. I asked her to contact her manager, and then she did agree to move us to another apartment. The second apartment was cleaner, but again poorly equipped for a self-catering apartment. I tried to ring ******* customer support but getting through to a human being was very difficult and after several minutes typing in various required information, I got cut off. On trying to leave the building one morning, the external doors had locked and it was not possible to exit through the main door. The receptionist could not open the fire door either until my partner assisted. Very disappointing to say the least.

It is guaranteed that they will try to hold on to your security deposit, I can't think of anything else to call it but thievery. They do this separately to your booking through any agent so that they can keep it all. They repeatedly fail to respond to queries, seems they don't care remotely about their reputation - my advice is that the flats are convenient but include the extra £150 pounds for deposit in your costs as it will be a battle to get it back that I'm guessing few will follow through on.

Great location right by the quay which is a 10/15 min walk to the titanic museum and a 5 min walk away from the cathedral quarter. Room it self was quite bare and had a few marks on the wall in the living room area. Missing the odd light bulb here and there in spot lights and lamps etc.
