This was much better than expected. The food was good by inernational standards with excellent variety. We joked that they must be hiding a master chef in the kitchen. Staff all very very attentive. If you’ve never experienced a jungle retreat this is a must go! The cabins were very good quality, with all the amenities! River kayak (avaialble fee as part of Ian’s) was excellent, river was calm and easy to navigate! Can’t say enough good about this place!

First of all, Hola Leo... in spite of your desire to have me list you as the "worst server" at the restaurant, the reverse is true. Leo was warm, professional, accommodating, super knowledgeable, and generally very much a class act. The whole staff knew our names and always had a cheerful thing to say. They made us feel like family. The property here is gorgeous and very well attended and manicured, in spite of the Jungle's attempts to constantly reclaim everything. It has to take relentless people to keep everything so pretty, clean and neat. The food was great, and the bar was well stocked and always open. The pool is super nice, and there is a river to Kayak or swim in as well. There are millions of things to do here, and the resort has extremely knowledgeable guides to make every excursion fun, safe, and a learning experience. The rooms are comfortable. Like a lot of places in remote destinations, wifi is here but only at the lodge... so unplug! You quickly develop a kinship with the wildlife, including bugs, which may bother you at first, but after a day or two, become part of the experience. I am sad to leave after 4 days, and definitely want to return and you should put this place on your "must do" list!
