"The Hotel is set in a very picturesque location in the Derbyshire Peak District. The room was very clean and comfortable, but basic. The only negative point I would like to mention was that there was no hot water for the duration of my stay, but I would not hold this against the hotel, as it was an unforeseen issue. I would recommend this place for a short stay relaxing break. The local area has some extremely friendly pubs and restaurants, along with some beautiful walks."

"Fabulous place for our wedding 04/04/26, first & only venue we looked at, struck us straightaway, great location, rustic, informal venue with history, very helpful team who took us through from start to finish, Chris & the team very well organised, approachable & friendly, stayed 2 nights, all food (including Wedding Breakfast & evening buffet) was faultless, cater for all menu choices including vegetarian & vegan, all ingredients locally sourced wherever possible. Put us in touch with photographers (Lee & Rob) who were great, Jadie (Event Manager) who also did the cake in-house, Sarah (chef) both deserve a shout out. For us, faultless, will be back for the Sunday lunch on regular basis, cheers guys, you made our wedding experience all that much more special 👍"
