The Newberry Hotel Bend, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

This place needs serious help. I stayed here during peak season, (August 2025) and Hilton is charging $350-$450 for an average room. Digital sign in was done through my Hilton Honors account. (I'm an Honors Gold member.) I received my digital key an was able to use my phone to open doors. I was also able to share my key with other members of my group, but those keys would only work sporadically. Then mine disappeared from my phone. This program is a joke. The room was updated with nice beds, paint and carpet, but has old, funky showers, sinks and electronic outlets. The hot and cold water were backwards on our sink, hot on the right, cold on the left. How dumb! The USB charging outlets on our night stand did not work. Our shower was out of hair conditioner...you know, the large plastic bottles locked to the wall? We pay $400 bucks a night and they think we're stealing their off brand hair products? Classy. I requested another bottle which was delivered while we were out. They just left it on the sink. Couldn't be bothered to replace the empty one. It was still there when we checked out 2 days later, so housekeeping isn't doing that either. Shower curtain was not great at keeping floor dry, no matter how you wrestled with it. $400 a night? Put some glass in there! Breakfast staff was an overwhelmed high school kid who spent most of his time arranging paper charge slips while we waited to order. All four of our orders arrived with cold, uncooked egg yolks which isn't just off putting...it's dangerous! Machine coffee was not great. Later, we stopped for drinks at the bar and were immediately told that the real bartender didn't show up. The woman filling in was doing her best, but was clearly not happy about her new assignment. We were told she could make rum & cokes, gin & tonics etc...by a clearly over served drunk lady at the bar who then proceeded to hit on my friends and I... gross...$400 a night? Staff your hotel! On Saturday there were towels in the pool/hot tub area. Not on Sunday...we had to go get them from the front desk ourselves. Hilton should really be ashamed to call this mess part of their "Tapestry Collection." The local Best Western does better for half the price. Obviously, we will not return here. It's a great location, but the management must be blind.

It was ok. Note that the WiFi is very slow (5-8mbps down) so if you brought say an Apple TV with you it can lag or go to really poor quality. Easy to hook said AppleTV to the 3-4 open hdmi ports. Parking was $10/day. Breakfast was in the $18-20 range. For the price I’d try someplace else next time I come thru

Stay here one night for a family trip. The location is great, literally a 2 minutes walk to Zydeco kitchen, and other downtown attractions. The Bend Visitor Center is just downstairs. The service is excellent, all staff are very hospitable. On the other hand, the hardware is a meh, the bath room space in the standard room is very limited, and the AC unit is a little bit noisy.

Very not satisfied. For the amount of money (and choices) I expected a lot more. It was a $200.motel for the price of a $500 hotel. No real service-no valet, Reaturant-both evening and morning, had 1 person staffing-cook, bar tending, bussing tables, it was hard to watch, let alone wanting to order but feeling sorry for them. Exactly the same for breakfast-that we paid extra with the room. We had to wait 45 minutes after we ordered, were charged and had to remind them we prepaid. Not mad at them-very terrible management! We were not the only ones taking about this-other guests were also commenting that for this price it was a low budget hotel.

Great location The location for walking downtown is excellent, the hotel was quiet, comfortable beds, staff was friendly and helpful. The only complaint is that the shower floor looked old and cheap, and was a bit stained, as was the tile grout on the lower portions of shower tile. Otherwise, everything was very clean and tidy.

Great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Entire staff made our stay warm and welcoming. Sephine at the front desk, Dave, Rochelle and Erin at the restaurant/bar and each staff we encountered were very friendly. Since we checked in late, it was nice to have someone at the front desk 24/7. Property was very clean, bed and pillows very comfortable. We had a few maintenance issues in the room, and the $15 per night parking fee is the reason for deducting one star.
