Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort– Adults Only

Hideaway Royalton Riviera Maya was a nice weekend getaway for me and my brother but also a reunion with friends. I know the hotel is closing for renovations and hopefully it can get the well needed repairs/upgrades. For me, it was better than I expected but still lack a lot and the price should've reflected what service would be given. Definitely understaffed and affected many things like a domino. The food needs to be better especially the buffet. The only food that was consistently delicious was the fish!!! The Zen restaurant delicious but a sauna so couldn't finish our food. The building itself needs repair as I cut my finger in the pool from lose tiles. We had a leak for the light in our room, but thankfully maintenance fixed it right away. The water activities could've been much better. Too many physical challenges not enough fun challenges.

If we could give 0 stars we would. 1. We didnt get the 3 presedential suites we ordered it was a bait and switch. 2. Rooms covered in black mold, the drapes, laps, curtains, etc. 3. Rooms had dirty floors 4. Fan stopped working above bed, not good in hot weather. 5. They had portable dehumidfieres you had to empter every two hours yourself, or they would stop and they blow hot hair. 6. The sargasim was terrible you could not enjoy the beach or outside as it smelled so bad you wanted to throw up the entire time. 7. You have a butler but they tak 3hours to answer. 8. Room service was rude and food was terrible. 9. You cant book dinner spots untill they give you your room. But by the time you do that the best spots are all taken so you are left with a the buffet which again is crap and bad service. 10. Leading up to your stay the pre check in process is broken and doesnt work. 11. You cant call the property and get someone to answer the phone, 17 calls over 2 weeks and 8 hours of hold music to never answer the phone. 12. The entire place has no AC not when they check you into the Diamond Lounge which is for those in presential suites, it was 90 degrees in there. Nor in any restruant. 13. The entire resort is date and falling apart. Nothing is dont to upkeep it. The escalters where broken, to the walls where coming apart, to mold. This was by far the worst place we have ever stayed and again we were in presential suites. Or should I say ones they called that but didnt give us.

This hotel was good. The food was okay, making reservations for the on site venues was a bit rough, as you have to download an app and do it online. When we went to make reservations, we found that most places were completely booked. We were able to book the fish restaurant once, and there wasn’t much fish on the menu. The buffet was the best eating option in my opinion. I loved my room with ocean view and terrace jacuzzi. It was amazing. I hopped in the hot tub while it was raining. I think I would book again just because of the terrace jacuzzi. The staff was okay as far as customer service. On our last day the swim up bar was supposed to be open at 10, and they kept delaying and did not open until 10:40. That frustrated me. I also had an instance where the gift shop closed early due to a power outage. One suggestion I would make is that this hotel get a charging station for guests. My friend and I both had instances where our chargers stopped working and we were both panicking to figure out a solution while on vacation. Overall I thought this was a great hotel. I loved the coffee shop. The pools were amazing. The entertainment was so wonderful. There was no need to leave with the club on site, my friend had a great time enjoying the resort.
