This accommodation is primarily practical. Everything you need is there, and parking is right outside.
What we didn't like was the quality of the mattresses. You can feel every spring. The couch was also old and uncomfortable. There are no hooks in the bathroom for hanging towels.
It's a converted shop. As soon as you open the curtains, anyone walking by on the street can see right in. Ventilation is only possible if you leave the front door open.
Okay for two nights if you're otherwise out and about.

Overall, a pleasant stay in a modest, nicely-equipped self-catering apartment with good communication and information from the owner. Conveniently close to the Beppu station and main shops in a quiet street. The layout of the apartment is a little unusual, but not a problem. However, there is a 30cm-high step between the living/bedroom area and the kitchen/bathroom area, and this would definitely be a problem for anyone with mobility issues.

床很好睡,洗完的衣服可以放在餐桌區開暖氣,不影響睡覺
只有淋浴,不過別府很多大眾浴場可以泡溫泉
別府市住宅區很多單程小道,出入時經常需要繞大圈
