England's most northerly hotel, just 300 yards from the Scottish Border, the Marshall Meadows Manor House is set in 15 acres woodland gardens and features sea views and good food.
Marshall Meadows Manor House is only 1 mile from Berwick-upon-Tweed, with its Elizabethan walls and its mainline railway station. The Berwickshire Coastal Path runs by the end of the hotel's grounds.
Each room has a bathroom with a walk in showers. Other features include tea/coffee and ironing facilities.
The restaurant has 2 levels, a wood-paneled mezzanine floor a ground floor with a high ceiling. Using fresh local ingredients, Restaurant 1782 offers seasonal menus to bring you the best culinary delights Northumberland and the Scottish Borders can offer. Open for lunch 12:00 to 15:00 and from 18:00 to 21:00 every evening for dinner. Excellent 4-day stay at this hotel. Nice location both in terms of accessibility (just off the A1) and environment. Stables suite was comfortable, well serviced and included a private garden area. Meals were also top class, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Would recommend it.

Intended to be a relaxing night away with lovely meal. Lovely hotel. Really lovely staff. Just don’t go on a night when management think they will take extra guests when the wedding party don’t want exclusive use. Those were the words from staff when we complained. The noise was horrendous. They were there to celebrate the night before the wedding. We were there for a relaxing afternoon and evening. We couldn’t even talk to one another in the drawing room or the bar or the restaurant.

A real gem of a country hotel, staffed with the friendliest team there could possibly be. We were here for a one night stay on our way to friends wedding in North Berwick and we are definitely planning a multi night return next year as a perfect base from which to visit Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle

We stayed for a weekend for my son’s wedding and I couldn’t fault a single thing. The venue is beautifully kept very clean. Very picturesque. The staff were so accommodating, nothing was a problem and always very friendly. The food was impeccable. From the wedding breakfast to actual breakfast it was all fabulous! Well done to all staff you made our special day unforgettable.

Excellent one night stay at hidden gem just outside Berwick. The moment you walk through the door the wonderful relaxed atmosphere hits you, the staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are tastefully decorated, spotless and comfortable. The restaurant staff are very pleasant and helpful both in the evening and at breakfast serving top quality cuisine.. If you are travelling the A1 north this is an excellent stop over or even a few days exploring

Stayed for 2 nights for my brothers wedding and the whole thing was just brilliant! The staff were outstanding , everyone we interacted with was so warm and friendly and helpful. Very accommodating as a whole and felt they went above and beyond . Our room was nice and clean , beds very comfy , only improvement would be air con as very hot in the rooms during nice weather, however appreciate with the age of the building this may not be possible. Food was impeccable, the grounds are lovely and well kept and the decor is really nice. Would highly recommend!

Great location, close to the A1 but in own grounds and very quiet and picturesque. Room was excellent and very clean. Bed was very comfortable the room was well appointed. Bathroom was lovely and the monsoon shower was fabulous. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and we are looking forward to returning hopefully in September.

Very nice rural location. All the staff were extremely efficient and pleasant. The evening menu had a good choice of dishes and choice at breakfast was excellent. The room was spacious but lacked drawer space. However there was a double base unit complete with cutlery drawer!!! Excellent shower and raging hot water. Always a bonus.
