Harrah’s Gulf Coast – A Caesars Rewards Destination

We stayed here for two nights. The property advertised daily housekeeping as an amenity. We returned to our room around 9pm to find it not serviced. Upon calling housekeeping the front desk answered saying they don’t have daily service “in this building.” There is only one building that we found. We told them we’d at least need towels and we were stepping out for about an hour. We returned to find a few sets of towels thrown (literally) on the bed, all scattered about. It was as if they threw them in from the door. There are better options when staying in Biloxi. Avoid this property at all costs. For nearly $300/night you’d think they could make a bed and leave fresh towels without a phone call.

Dingy hallway carpet. Old room furnishings. House cleaning not a standard service. (Went to front desk at 1PM and asked how to get clean towels….front desk clear…..no one waiting to check in….told towels would be right up; they never came). Front desk not helpful Poor dining choices. Dark and dreary, not worth price! Would not stay again.

My husband and I had tickets to go to a concert at the coliseum at 7. We arrived at the hotel around 5:15 to check in only to be advised that our nonsmoking room wouldn’t be available until 8. The front service supervisor came out and had an attitude when she walked up. Basically she was not concerned that we expected to be in a room so we could get dressed to go to a concert that started at 7. She told us we could take a smoking room or cancel. She was smirking and talking about us to the other employees right there in front of us. I wanted to give her recognition since she wanted to make sure we spelled her name correctly. In all the 53 years of my life I have never been treated this way. This is not a “resort”, do not waste your money. I will never stay here again. The people here do NOT know the meaning of customer service.

We have stayed at Harrah's many times through the years, and enjoyed the stay. This was first time in 2 years to Biloxi. After we parked in the deck we noticed that one elevator to access to the entrance to hotel was not in service. It was the same way 2 years ago. Maintenance needs to be done there. We got a handicap room and was please with the higher toilet, bars all around for access in and out of tub. No issue there, the problem was with the bathroom, the lighting is terrible. It is so faint you cannot see. There is no room to put toiletries and had to go back and forth from the room to the bathroom, and with the bad lighting it was still a challenge to see to even brush teeth. walking with a cane and going back and forth was challenging. The other bad issue is the water situation. We never knew when about to take a shower is there would be hot water or not. My son-in-law asked a maintenance worker in the hotel about it and he said to just let the water run for a while. That was no guarantee because we did that and in the middle of a shower it would go to luke warm.

The hotel is old and needs a makeover. That said the staff are incredible! So friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub are clean and there is a good fun, social vibe. The food is good (enough)....we were pleasantly surprised because even though older and obviously ready for a revamp, rooms were clean, and beds were comfy. Housekeeping, the front desk, waitress, bartender, pool staff....all kind, helpful and friendly! Thanks Harrah's for a great stay.

I like Harrah's overall but beware - if you are comped a room - you still have to pay resort fees. Also don't come before the official check in time because we showed up 1 hr early and had to pay $25 for early check-in even though the room was ready and we spend thousands at this resort.
