Umai Hotel

We stayed at the Umai at the start and finish of our country tour with Ecotours. It’s located about 2km from city center, so a pretty easy walk through some nice neighborhoods. There are a couple of small convenience stores nearby. It’s actually not the easiest place to find but Google seems to locate it quite accurately. The hosts/owners are all super-friendly and helpful – really good people. Our room was a bit on the small side, but clean and comfortable with a couple of windows looking onto a neighbor’s property. The ensuite bathroom was clean and functional and the AC unit worked pretty well at keeping things cool inside. There is Wifi, however the signal is not so strong in most of the rooms. The food was great – surprisingly great! Lots of fresh veggies, salads, soups, meat dishes, etc. – really yummy. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend it to other travellers.
