Baymont by Wyndham Blackwell I-35

This place is really dirty and in need of repair. The common areas, parking lot, rooms, bathrooms, all disgusting. The room we had, nothing was clean. Splatters on everything in the bathrooms. Smears on everything else. Dust caked on tissue boxes, ice bucket, and anywhere dust could settle. Bits of things all over the floor in the room like its not been vacuumed. Smeary window with torn screens. Doubtful the bedding is changed it looked like a toddler put it on. And as soon as we walked in the first things I noticed was hair on the bedding.

They accommodated guests by allowing them to swim at the neighboring hotel that was within walking distance due to the pool being out of order. Staff was very polite and helpful. The air conditioner made a squeaking noise which caused some interrupted sleep and the breakfast was average.

Runny eggs and dry sausage for breakfast. The bathroom looked like they recently tried to paint it and got it all over. Looked like mold between the tub and tile. I had to clean what I hope was Ketchup off the bed frame. The bed was comfortable though and the staff was friendly.

The lighting in pool area was faulty could be a hazard for guest so wasn't open said it was a falling hazard .Was very satisfied with stay.

No fresh towels after first night. Spiders in the room. Floor was very dirty. Roaches in lobby

Overall, the place was meh. The hotel was clearly refurbished, but was done with very poor craftsmanship, bringing to mind the term ‘lipstick on a pig.’ The breakfast left a bit to be desired. Mostly because no one attended to it. The counters were messy and needed to be wiped, and the tables had sticky spots on them from syrup. The juice pitchers were empty. Yet the desk clerk was sitting there watching TV; there were no guests checking in or out. But the thing I found alarming was that the back door into the building from the parking lot, which has a key card swipe on it, HAD TAPE WRAPPED AROUND THE CRASH BAR SO THAT THE DOOR WOULD NOT LATCH OR LOCK. The tape was on there when I arrived and it was still on the door the following morning, leaving me to conclude that it is intended to be that way all the time. This might be small-town Oklahoma, but how is a guest supposed to feel secure when the doors are not locked? Not gonna let my kids outta my sight.

Nice staff, quiet, good breakfast. Need a strong hand to turn on and off the shower. Pool closed (May 2026).

The best thing is that they serve breakfast at 5 AM which lets you get an early start on the day. Also, the restaurant Los Potoros is excellent and within walking distance.

It smelled. Icky. Both the lobby and musty in the room. Shower and tub had black sealing. Beds were a weird spring frame.
