Ivybank Lodge

Gary and Nigel,s place is truly exceptional. The incredible attention to detail and careful design made staying here an absolute treat. The bed was super comfortable, and the monogrammed towels were large and soft. The shower was truly walk in and the heating made the room toasty. Downstairs, the two lounge rooms were elegantly designed and very comfortable. There was a large drinks menu to choose from. We were extremely fortunate to be there on Friday when dinner is served. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, with food of the absolute highest quality. I haven’t eaten like that many times in my life. We had all three courses!! Breakfast in the morning was the same quality. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

An absolutely fantastic small hotel—a historic property with a luxurious interior at an affordable price. Very friendly owners. I'm not a fan of British cuisine, but the breakfast was great.

We had a brilliant stay here. The rooms were spotlessly clean and furnished to a very high standard. There were so many thoughtful touches, like the monogrammed towels, that really made the experience feel truly five-star. Gary was incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was probably the best we’ve had in years — a fantastic selection, all freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. An exceptional stay in every way. We were sorry we couldn't stay longer! We would highly recommend it.

A quick stay left us wishing we'd been able to visit longer. The Lodge is beautifully appointed and clearly curated with love (both inside and out). Gary happily accommodated a later check-in with lots of clear communication, and was able to point us to an excellent nearby restaurant for a meal at short notice. The full breakfast was both delicious and served in a lovely space, and we felt pampered and a little reluctant to leave! A gorgeous and easy drive into Blairgowrie, with a fantastic location easily accessible to the Cairngorms.

From the first step inside this sumptuous home, your eyes feast on the decor and your senses melt at the delights that await. Nigel and Gary have created an absolute wonderland of elegance. If you're lucky enough to be around in the daytime, you may get a snuggle with one of the Norwegian Forest cats that are only let out while guests are gone. Your room has everything - even the things you didn't think you'd need. The luxuries, the little things and all the bits and bobs in between. Nigel pulls out all the stops when it comes to breakfast. Local ingredients assembled with his signature skills. Scrambled eggs have never been so rich and satisfying. So here's the thing...you only get to come for dinner if you're an overnight guest. Whatever you do, come for dinner. Ring a bell for service - they run a fully licensed bar and you can enjoy drinks in one of two lounges. I found myself wishing for a big storm just so I'd have an excuse to snuggle up and stay in. But the wilds of Perthshire surround you. An hour in every direction takes you to someplace beautiful, historical or magical. The town itself is bustling with shops, pubs, galleries and cafes - go for a wander, enjoy the river, lean into local life, but beware, you may not get to other restaurants. An early breakfast and Nigel's dinner in the evening is probably all you need.

Absolutely first class experience at the Ivybank. I travel ALOT with work staying in many different hotels all over the UK and can honestly say Ivybank surpassed every single one of them. Good old fashioned customer service, impeccable manners, attention to detail and massively evident pride in how they work makes this place a pleasure to be in. I really didn’t want to go home! Our dinner on the first night was fantastic and the breakfasts were equally as good. I honestly can’t fault it in any way!

Absolutely loved it ! The decor throughout is tastefully executed with panache. Clean, comfortable luxury room and a delicious breakfast with great selection. Enjoyed a drink and relaxed in the impressive ambient lounge. A true delight to have visited and I applaud Gary & Nigel for creating a magical memorable and 100% worthwhile stay. Thank you.
