The Charlton Inn

Very friendly and professional staff; room was excellent, and they had draught ale on! Hurray!

Poor room - smelt damp. Rust on radiator in room and bin and toilet brush holder in bathroom and chipped dressing table. Room was dusty in places. Needs a refurb.

Food was good

What a lovely, friendly and accommodating place to stay. Stayed here with family for a funeral rang ahead to explain that check in at 2pm would be difficult and the staff went above and beyond to make sure all 4 rooms were cleaned and turned around by 10am for us to attend the funeral and not have to come back and check in. We came back with a large group after the wake and was probably louder than we should have been but the staff and locals remained polite and friendly when asking us to be a little quieter. The room had everything we needed for our stay and was clean and fresh. Myself and family would like to thank you all for putting up with us and letting us share time together to remember our loved one. We will definitely be back to stay when visiting Poole with the kids. If you will have us haha.

Don't normally leave reviews but dropped in here by chance one day last week (looking for another pub that's sadly closed) - we were very glad we did! Inside was tasteful and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very hospitable. We had an excellent meal including very good deserts. Menu was good, can't fault the food in any way. Highly recommended!
