This was one of the coolest places I’ve stayed! The pub was an incredible time with the hurling match, the feeling of what it feels like to be in a pub while there is a local sporting team is surreal and an amazing time! Close to an awesome attraction and to walk around after a long day is well deserved!

Room was great. Had a fan in the room and though there is no lift the staff helped us get up to our rooms. The staff was fantastic. Rona was a great and supports Cork! The food was amazing. Best food we had on our tour. Great location to the Woolen Mills and the Castle. Highly recommend.

This is an amazing hotel for the authentic Irish experience. Located right outside the entrance to the Blarney Castle, this hotel made us feel the most welcome out of all of our stops. From check-in to checkout we were treated like family. I would recommend anyone making the trip to Blarney to stay here and enjoy the warm friendly atmosphere. My only regret is not staying a second night to explore the town more.

I feel compelled to share my extremely disappointing experience with the Blarney Castle Hotel. For my son's christening, I wanted to plan something special—a sit-down meal with a set menu for 20 family members, followed by drinks with an additional 20 guests. I contacted the manager, Ian, three months in advance, and he assured me that the booking was confirmed and everything was in order. However, as the date approached, I needed clarification on essential details such as menu options, pricing, and seating arrangements for decorations. Unfortunately, Ian became completely unreachable. Despite leaving 15 voicemails, sending 7 emails, and visiting the hotel in person 3 times, I received absolutely no response. The other staff members repeatedly told me they couldn’t assist because this was “Ian’s responsibility.” This level of unprofessionalism was staggering. Not once did Ian return a call, despite more than 25 callback requests. With no information and no confirmation, I had no choice but to change venues the day before the christening. If you are considering booking this hotel—especially for an important event—I strongly urge you to reconsider. Whether you are local or visiting from abroad, look elsewhere. This establishment is disorganized, unresponsive, and lacks even basic customer courtesy. Do not take the risk with this unprofessional and amateurish business.

What a quaint hotel. Located right outside the entry to Blarney Castle and gardens. Short walk to pubs and Blarney Woolen Mills. Rooms were large and comfy, well decorated and quiet. Beds comfy. Ian and his staff were super nice and attentive. Hotel has bar attached and very nice restaurant. Breakfasts were great. 3 floors but no elevator. Staff carried our bags up and down

I felt very uncomfortable, like I was being watched the whole time. The bed itself was abysmal, the room smelled musty. The owners very EXTREMELY rude, even threatened to poison MY food. Overall, one of the worst experiences of my life, 1/10

My friends and I had a wonderful time at the Blarney Castle Hotel. Una was extremely helpful and communicative via email for our booking. Mo greeted us, helped us with parking, and getting set up in our rooms. Ian was very kind and helpful as well; he remembered that I had asked for my friend to have the best view for her birthday. Mo then surprised us by appearing with a cake for her at our late breakfast! It was adorable and very thoughtful. The rooms were clean, charming and lovely. The view of the square was great, it was just a wonderful experience over all.

We booked a Double Room with Breakfast for 3rd May 2025 in this Hotel. The Rooms looked very nice online. We asked the Manager Ian if we could check in early as we were attending a function at 1.00pm on the Saturday and he was very helpful and told us to come over after 12.00 noon. We arrived at the Hotel and were greeted by Ian and asked if we would like a Coffee whilst we were waiting which was very nice. The Hotel and Bar looked very quaint and welcoming. The Manager then arrived and directed us to our room which we assumed would be in the Hotel as we were paying top dollar for it of €180 for one night B&B. However we were directed through the Kitchen and out the back of the Hotel and across a car park to a building called the stables. Small narrow steep wooden stairs to a landing and into a room which wouldn't even be of adequate size for a single room. The bed was pushed tightly against the wall as the door wouldn't open otherwise and the room was tiny without an adequate mirror. We expressed to the manager that we had booked our room some time ago and we expected for the money we were paying to be staying in the Hotel. He kept apologising and saying he didn't have any other rooms available as he obviously forgot to record our telephone booking. As we were stuck and there was no other accommodation available in the area we had to take the room but it was a great disappointment and the place smelled of damp. Truly a holiday from hell never to be repeated. After calling the manager 4 times and losing out tempers, he eventually reduced the price of the room. Although the breakfast next morning was very good we are we will never be back at this Hotel again.
