Villa del Faro

This place is a true gem along the bumpy East Cape road. The architecture is amazing, the views of the ocean are amazing from every level of the B&B, the pool is wonderful, large and refreshingly cool on a hot day, the virtually vacant beaches below and on either side of the B&B are beautiful. (Almost every beach we visited on our way up the East Cape were beautiful and mostly vacant.) We saw whales in the ocean nearby at every breakfast. The separate two queen bed rooms we rented were very large, with a second room with the bathroom, dresser and chair, and a large shared front patio with couches, chairs and coffee table with a coffee maker and a small fridge. (Ice is available on request for happy hour or your day trips.) The accommodations and art work and details were very nice. The food (breakfast and dinner) was very good and authentic. The owner, manager, staff and the bartender were wonderful, helpful and very friendly. The cold beer upon arrival was a nice touch! You are off the grid at this resort (no cell service and the only wifi being available near the check in area and shared library). The B&B also has a couple of friendly cats and dogs on site, if that is your thing. At this property, you can simply relax at the pool or on the beach below, or make easy side trips to La Fortuna or Cabo Pulmo for beaches, snorkeling or lunch.

Our family, including our two kids (7 year old and 10 year old), had an incredible stay at Villa del Faro. Villa del Faro is a gorgeous, meticulously maintained property with beautiful gardens and grounds. The pool is wonderfully refreshing and has an unbeatable view. We stayed in the Casa Alberca room, which is a gorgeous open-air room with a separate bedroom, living room, 1 1/2 baths, and full kitchen, that's right off the pool with stunning ocean views. The bedroom has a king bed and they added bunk beds for the kids. The bed was very comfortable and we all slept well with the sounds of the ocean waves in the background. We spent our days swimming in the pool or down at Baby Beach ( swimmable beach), and snorkeling at Cabo Pulmo (Arbolito Beach). Breakfasts at Villa del Faro are delicious and dinners were tasty and varied and very accommodating to dietary restrictions. The family that owns the Villa and the staff are welcoming, accommodating, and do their best to ensure your comfort. We took the coastal road to the hotel and the mountain road back to the airport. Be advised that on either route you drive a little over 1 hour on a bumpy dirt road with no cell reception. We rented a small SUV and didn't have any issues either way, but found the mountain road to be more difficult than the coastal road. It was 100% worth it to get to this truly special hotel and we would absolutely consider coming back again for a future vacation.

Das Hotel ist wunderbar- sehr schwer in Worte zu fassen. Trotz der abenteuerlichen Anreise über eine Stolperstrasse (und ohne Handynetz!) findet man Villa del Faro sehr gut. Es ist ein liebevoll und sehr detailreich eingerichtetes Boutique Hotel mit Platz für ca. 20 Gäste in Apartment-ähnlichen Häusern bzw. Räumen. Jedes Zimmer / Haus hat einen eigenen Flair und ist atemberaubend. Die Anlage liegt hoch auf dem Felsen mit einem sehr malerischen Zugang zum privaten menschenleeren Strand. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und abwechslungsreich. Das Personal ist top und macht (fast) jeden Wunsch wahr. Man kann sich an dem Wundervollen Pool oder unten am Stand entspannen, Wale beobachten oder durch die Bibliothek stöbern. Aus Wunsch wird das Essen für Sie zubereitet. Unser Zimmer verfügte über einen Wasserkocher, Kaffeemaschine, Fön, Minibar, voll ausgestattet, Moskitonetz, große Terrasse mit atemberaubenden Blick auf die umgebende Berglandschaft und den Strand. Eine absolute Empfehlung!

Unique beautiful

This place is incredible! If you are even contemplating staying here, think no more and book it! We travel all over the world and have found few places that can even compare to this place. It is out of the way and totally worth it. We stayed in the stone beach cottage, and it was even more perfect than we imagined. It is a truly secluded beach (be prepared for lots of steps, but there is parking close to the cottage). The food is great, and you cannot beat the scenery. The staff is beyond amazing, especially Hector. I would honestly give this more than 5 stars if it was available. We most certainly will be back.

Amazing Bestie Moon We had a memorable time at the Villa del Faro with my best friend. We booked the beach house where we enjoyed the ocean view being completely alone. The best way to contemplate the sun rise, take a swim, watch the stars in the night and drink a glass around a campfire. The host are very nice people and the food is great, all we were looking for at the boutique hotel far from the big resorts. Just be aware that the way to join the hotel from the airport is a bit long and the road not easy.
