Large home on golf course, close to Seven Oaks, Ledges Park & ISU. Sleeps 12+

We had seven adults all over age sixty that found the residence to be a wonderful place. It was a nice layout that made it easy to have large group conversations, the bedrooms were comfortable, and everybody said they slept well, and in the bathrooms good water pressure when showering. The place was very clean and the host was responsive and helpful when we did have a question.Being in Boone we were concerned about getting Uber's into Ames and on Friday night that was no problem; however, on Saturday (game day) it was difficult to get an Uber, so we used a Boone taxi service and they came right out very quickly. Also, the taxi service was about the same price as using an Uber XL.We would definitely VRBO at this property again.

Peaceful getaway TThis place is perfect if you are traveling with a big family. It is very clean, in a quiet neighborhood, and has a great view. The house has everything you need; we felt just like we were at home.

Not what we were hoping for We were a family of 12, staying 4 nights. We needed all beds, as advertised in the listing. The host notified us prior to arrival to let us know that the carpet had to be cleaned due to the previous guests apparently trashing it, and it would be damp. No problem, stuff happens, he refunded us for that night. The problems came after that. The two airbeds for the downstairs common areas were piled on the floor in a closet, tumbled amongst them was the needed bedding. We had to blow up the airbeds, and wash the bedding, before we could use them. All of the towels were neatly folded, appearing ready, in all bathrooms. They all had a funky smell, and were "crunchy". Into the washer they went. It took 5 rinses to get all of the soap out of them. The refrigerator contained a very large quantity of outdated condiments, and a bag of half-rotten onions. It was filthy, as was the freezer. Countertops were sticky. Tried to open a window to help dry the carpet, the windowframe was rotting and falling apart. Sorry Josh, can't recommend.
