Embassy Suites by Hilton St. Louis Airport

Very clean hotel near Lambert Airport. Easy to get to from the airport. The free breakfast is wonderful. Good coffee, eggs, sausage, muffins, as well as many other items. All real food!

Overall super dirty. Room smelt like cigarettes. Stains on the carpets & couch. Made my kids keep their shoes on the whole time it grossed us out so much. Bathroom was grimy. Pool area has seen better days and the water was very hazy. Outdated & unkept for the price for sure. Will stay elsewhere next time.

The hotel room was not clean. There was rice on the sofa bed upon pulling it out. The bathroom was dirty as if it wasn’t cleaned prior to our arrival. We brought it to the front desk attention, they acknowledged but didn’t bother to send housekeeping. The just provided us with additional sheets for the sofa bed. We used their shuttle to get to the airport. During loading, I let the driver know that my suitcase was heavy and assisted him with loading. During unloading our luggage, he attempted to lift it himself and dropped it causing the wheel to break. He just said “oh” and continued unloading, slamming the rest of the luggage in the ground as well. Yes, they have wheels but shouldn’t be slammed on the ground like that. I called the front desk who transferred me to the manager who I called 3 times and never got a response back from. The front desk always had an excuse as to when I didn’t get called back, whether it was she was doing interviews or she was busy. One receptionist said they usually don’t pay back for broken luggage, they give you points. I refuse to stay with them at all in the future. We stayed from June 11th to June 13th and have yet to have any type of response via phone. I’m so mad I erased the pictures of the room.

Make sure you ask what the price is at the desk. You will end up paying twice as much and they won’t tell you. You question it and the won’t reimburse you for it. Diamond member and now will book with another brand.

I am a Hilton Diamond for Life member and I have never experienced anything like this hotel. First off, we had ants all over the room including the beds. I pulled the sheets back on my bed to make sure there were no bed bugs and found the mattress pad extremely soiled. I pulled the sheet entirely off and there was a giant urine stain on the pad, as well. It was obvious that it had not been changed. I took pictures of everything and went to the front desk. The lady at the desk would not even look at the pictures. Told me that she had been working there for a month and has never seen anything like it. I asked if I could change rooms which she couldn’t accommodate. I then asked if someone could at least come up and change the sheets. There wasn’t anyone working so she went and grabbed me the linens to change them myself. What a joke!

Arrived at the property in late evening ahead of a very early departure the next morning. Found poop smeared on the accessible grab bar and wall in the bathroom and on the bathroom door handle/door. Staff came to clean it timely but I was thoroughly disgusted and could stop thinking about what else hadn’t been cleaned. Then toilet kept refilling and we couldn’t sleep due to the noise of it. There was only one other room available and it had a bad leak at the window so rainwater was leaking all around the window and the second bed was damp. Ended up having to share the one dry bed with one child while my other child slept on the foldout couch. At least the room with the window leak was quiet and we didn’t find any poop smears. Worst of all was when the night manager/staff told me, “well, if you look hard enough you’ll find poop anywhere”. I’ve never had an experience like this at an Embassy Suites before, but I’ll never stay at the St Louis Airport location again.
