The View, Brighton

This place needs to burnt down! The room smells like wee, the walls are smashed in the ceiling was dripping water. The door you could literally push open so no safety. This business should NOT be running it’s a massive heath and safety issue. I do not understand how they can even sell rooms with the state they are in! Spoke to man that booked me into the room just to be told that he is only a matenice man. Obviously didn’t want to take the complaint. They charge £110 + £50 swiped from Your bank after this! Absolutely ridiculous to think anyone could make these rooms worse than they already are. DO NOT book this hotel not only Will you be wasting your money but you’re putting self in heath and safety risk! One day the dripping ceiling will fall down! It won’t allow me to post the videos I have but they need to shared! Rotten

Wasn’t expecting much here due to the reviews brought own bedding. Awful looks like a hmo place could be so nice had a lovely view from room. No hot water for us! We was on a budget so thought would be ok return from our night out and a mouse ran out by our feet and straight under the bed this was midnight and we decided to abandon our room and booked the leonardo which was absolutely lovely avoid this place needs shut down and done up properly !

We booked it as a mini getaway having travelled to Brighton for 3 hours from our home. Unbelievable, we ended up going back home and not staying there as the whole place looks like a crime scene. We genuinely believe that someone was killed or died in that room as carpets were stained, there was a horrible smell of cheap bleach that did not go away even with windows left open. The lock has clearly been kicked in and replaced subsequently. The window.. I don't even know what to say...

I'm writing about a serious issue with my recent stay at VIEW in Brighton. I've been trying to share pictures of the terrible conditions I faced during my stay, but I haven't received a proper email address to send them to. I was shocked when I arrived at the room. It had cockroaches, damaged walls, worn-out carpets, and old windows. I couldn't stay more than five minutes—it was that bad. I tried calling for help, but no one answered. To make matters worse, they took an extra £50 from me without explanation. I've explained all this in detail, but I'm not just looking for apologies. I want my money back. The platform is responsible for this mess because they didn't verify the photos they showed me. I trusted those pictures when I booked my stay, and now I'm out £179. I'm considering taking this to higher authorities and sharing my experience on social media to prevent others from going through this."

Absolutely disgusting …..never ever set foot in such a hovel … I really do not understand how they get away with charging money to stay here . It was filthy ….the smell was awful and just unbelievable . Should be shut down

Absolutely awful dump. A complete health and safety nightmare. Noisy, dangerous and filthy. Cost over £400 for two rooms!!!!!! Look at the photos. I wish I had got some photos of the bathroom. Do not book
