The Mount Gipps pub has a great atmosphere. Open fires (inside and out) made it cosy on a cold night. Best to book in advance. Cheap keg beers on special. Friendly service. Enormous chicken schnitzel.

Booked a powered site for 2 nights. As soon as we checked in we felt welcome, with our host Mark. Campfire and nibbles (provided by our host) with our fellow campers was a great start to our visit to Broken Hill. Amenities were clean and the showers were nice and hot. So much to see and do in Broken Hill so do yourself a favour and book into the Broken Hill Outback Resort.

Still haven't received our refund from 2 years ago. You are nothing but con artists, liars and thieves. Hurry up and go out of business you low life snakes.

The resort is beautiful and gives a nice Outback experience. However, we were extremely disappointed with the unhygienic conditions we experienced in the room and the bar/restaurant. The cabin was very dusty, the coffee table in the patio was broken, the crockery in the kitchen were chipped, the kettle is begging for a descaling. Worst of all was the restaurant/pub where the water glasses all had grubby finger and lipstick marks. There were at least 10 of them and none usable. Wouldn't recommend staying here unless desperate or willing to compromise on cleanliness. Pics of dusty bedside table and dirty kitchen floor attached.

What a way to end your day! We drove out to this resort late evening for pizza and it was worth it. The staff were super accommodating as we arrived two minutes before the kitchen closed but they still made our pizza, which was absolutely delicious. We sat outside on the many tables and soaked up the breathtaking region. Unfortunately we didn't stay at this property but based on what I saw, I would recommend it for future travellers.

The cabin was wonderful with a beautiful view from decking. One of the most comfortable beds we have had when travelling. Microwave & essential equipment. Site laundry facilities are great. Only thing would be a clothes airer as clothes line space was scarce.

Great place to stay. We stayed there for 4 nights in our caravan. Shower and toilet facilities are great, lots of hot water and very clean. Good laundry, dryer wasnt working, but didn't affect us, as weather was fine and very windy, which helped with drying of the washing. We had a grass site, they are big, easy to park the caravan and room for the ute on the site also. Internet connection not that great, but after all we were in the Outback, so we expected this.Would definitely stay again.

Improvement needed. Even though the idea and basics seem to be on track, there are snags in the overall presentation. The view from the cabins is good (for those who find outback sandy landscape interesting). Unfortunely there were a large amount of cobwebs behind the curtains and all over the doors. Hey, this is Australia...cobwebs could mean some nasty spiders. i am so glad I only found the webs in the above-bed space after I spent the night there, otherwise I would have left. It is a signal that there is surface cleaning only. Lots of dust on furniture. The towels are tiny, thin and seem to be have used 1,000 times before. 2/5 given for the location - it's a nice distance from town, and for the camp sites...they seem reasonable and comfortable. Unfortunately, because of the heat, there was a need for the generator to be on for at least 6 hours in the evening. The sunset air was disrupted by the very loud noise of a big generator. Even though understandable, surely something could be changed? After all this is Broken Hill where heat is common and electricity supply is erratic. Difficult for the resort. But very annoying for those who wanted a relaxing place to stay. I don't know how the campers coped, it was bad enough in an enclosed cabin. Really needs some changes to make it better.
