Great food, Must recommend the sirloin steak . Excellent customer service and of course Matthew makes you feel so welcome and is a great host. Lovely friendly atmosphere and a nice pint. Big thank you to Matthew and his team for a lovely evening

What a fabulous place! From the warm welcome to our delicious food, our evening was perfect! Probably the best steak we've ever had, anywhere! Nothing was too much trouble. We hope to return when we're in the area again, hopefully the lovely owner will still be in residence! 100% first class dining experience. Must visit

The excellent food, and situation normally would merit 5 stars, but the evening was completely spoilt by the chef having a Gordon Ramsey tirade, F-ing and Blinding against a young member of staff, in the kitchen clearly audible not only in the restaurant but outside in the garden. The poor lad had to face all the customers as he fled the pub red faced. Such a shame. Ramsey belongs on the tele, not in real life. I reiterate that the food and service were excellent but our evening was spoilt. Not to put people off, but hopefully to encourage the chef to be more civilized to his young staff.

this place is warm anf friendly. wood fires in the bar and also in the Restaurant. The drinks were quickly served and the quality beer was very good. The food service was a bit slow but well worth the wait. The Haddock and chips were excellent. The menu is short and limited but the food quality makes up for this.

Found this place by pure accident, a very fortunate accident. Staff are fantastic and friendly, dogs are made welcome and good is amazing. Irish smokie starter looked and tasted great. Main courses were also fantastic and then dessert, again was lovely. I have seriously over eaten but enjoyed every minute and calorie A real must do place for great food and friendly staff Can't fault anything. Definitely worth making a special trip to.

Without any doubt the very best fish available anywhere. So good we visited twice in the same week and passed many excellent venues on the way. Fresh line-caught cod and haddock cooked perfectly, crispy batter and juicy fish. The steak pie is also excellent! A very friendly team and one of our favourite places to eat. Deserves to succeed.
