When we arrived the pot belly stove was already burning. Big comfortable bed. Well equipped kitchen , BBQ and laundry. Small bottle of port was a nice touch. Quiet place to relax. No walking trails in immediate area. Friendly and helpful host.

This is our second stay here, and we love it. Lovely, clean, well-equipped cabin. The kids love the spa bath, and the fireplace (it gets cold up in the mountains, even in the middle of summer if you're not used to single-digit temperatures). Comfortable beds and amazing views of the surrounding nature. It is very secluded, so book knowing there is almost no mobile coverage, wi-fi, shops / petrol stations. It was the perfect, mountain getaway where we switched off from the world and enjoyed the serenity. Don't go if you expect main-city perks - it's very remote. That's the joy of this place!

The two negative reviews from 2023 were embarrassing to read and show why it is important to research your holiday before you leave. Any road map will show you that Bronte Park is a very small and isolated village in the centre of Tasmania. One can’t expect to “Get away from it all” and have all of the city amenities too. Gloria was very welcoming and our “cabin” accommodation turned out to be a fully equipped and spacious two bedroomed house, complete with a fully functioning kitchen, laundry and carport. Ok, the windows could do with a clean and there were some wear and tear marks on the walls and carpet, but everything else was very clean with crisp linen on the beds. Despite the distant gunshots that we heard on arrival, it was very peaceful and the stars were so clear at night. My fussy children wanted to stay for a few more days.

We knew what to expect. A reasonably well appointed self-catering cabin in a fairly remote area and that's what we got. In fact the cabin exceeded expectations. The wood burner was ready to light and the heater had been turned on before we arrived. The bed was comfy and the large spa bath appreciated, although a little difficult to get out of for the less mobile. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed the port. Nothing to complain about. Good for a one night stop en route from Hobart to Strahan. If you want to pick up food then there's a large Woolworths supermarket in New Norfolk.

Terrible place - Dirty ( the room was pretty bad too), unhelpful manager. The joint is overpriced and the manager is useless. DO NOT GO THERE absolute rip-off. You could get a fancy place in Brisbane for the same price.

Totally dodgy. The accommodation was ordinary, comfortable, cleanish. It was in the the middle of no-where ( but not in a good way) so there were no choices for meals apart from the food we had with us. The local pub which was the only food outlet in town, burnt down 4 years ago. This was unexpected but ok as our cabin “ deluxe” had basic cooking amenities. There was a power outage the next day and Gloria, the manager/ owner? made no attempt to communicate this apart from leaving a vague note on the unattended office window. When we did spot her greeting new guests we had to run to her car to catch her because it was clear that she was trying to avoid us. We asked her for more information about the outage and she said she would let us know more after 4pm and that she wanted to get back to her cuppa soup and that there were emergency supplies - candles and a gas burner under our sink. She sped off in her car to her property which was about 100 metres away and from that point on she did not communicate or respond to our texts. We were not prepared to pay $205 for an evening with no power - no shower, no internet, no lights, no tv and a very ordinary view of a vacated office and back paddock. We returned the key, tidied up and left after several attempts at communicating with Gloria. No refund, and still no response and this was a week ago. The other reviews on this website must be fake, even without a power outage and without a rude evasive host no one would give this place 5 stars. As dodgy as the Gloria herself.

It’s many miles from any food or shop and the power goes out. No power, no hot water, no internet and only “emergency” gas burner. The owner hides and won’t respond to calls or messages. We cancel the second night and they refuse to respond to our communication about a refund. Scammers. Apparently the power goes out regularly, so be ready to lose your money!
