Terrace is awesome, staff friendly. Vacak the cat is awesome too. This hostel is a great option to spend some time on the island, had a good night sleep and it was clean. Often though staff can be missing from the reception during the stated reception hours, and nearby is more of a party scene with few quality dining options. The 400ft Costa coffee capsules aren't exactly good either, so there is some space for improvement compared to some of the newer hostels in town.

The hostel is located on Margit-sziget Island and can be reached by bus. The reception counter is on the second floor. There is a shared kitchen and an outdoor terrace with a river view.

I was nervous because a customer in the review said there was a booking accident, but it was really good. It was a great view to take a break for a day, all the guests and staff were nice, and the facilities were good value for money. It was especially nice to take a walk in the middle of the park. It was somewhat disappointing that there was no convenience store, but we were able to buy some snacks at the reception. Strongly recommended.

Amazing!! I didn't know this place could exist. It's central, but quiet. And you can take a walk on the island to wind off .. the trees, the air, the whole atmosphere is just perfect. I took a double room. It's quite hot in the city but air is fresh on the island. Bed was comedy, wifi good, kitchen well equipped. And there are hammocks on the terrace. Edit (the manager) is super cool and can help you with various topics. If you are into bars, that's easy to find as well, there are many around the hostel. Of course there is one bar/restaurant right below the door, called stég. Cant wait to be back!!

Island hostel Budapest is surrounded by lovely green parks. The terrace of hostel is lovely place to sit and listen to spring birds singing. Hostel is clean and comfy beds, good security and helpful staff. You have to walk 10 minutes to get a tram.

Great place for young people with lovely terrance for cofees with beautiful view on river, exactly the living heart of Budapest. ♥️
