"A lovely building and entrance, including a lovely garden and fountain. Very clean and classy, reception staff friendly and helpful. Room was fantastic, so modern and clean with plenty of floor space and storage. Big smart tv, hair dryer, iron and board, free mini toiletries, tea/coffee, full length mirror…couldn’t have asked for more at such a reasonable price for the room! Only thing was the room felt extremely hot when I first checked in (even though radiator was not on). I asked at reception if I could have a fan as windows barely open and a few minutes later it was brought to my room! Restaurant and bar great, breakfast lovely…highly recommend this hotel"

"Very good, the feeling of going home, you have it, and some people have cleaned up. Away from the city, it is 10 minutes to drive into the city center. The parking in the city is very expensive. If you have the opportunity to go to Edinburgh in the future, you will choose to live here. Then you can choose the bus. The station is conveniently located next to it. A big supermarket 10 minutes walk nearby, I still have a very beautiful scarf inside~"

"It was very easy to find the Hotel, by bus, from the centre of Edinburgh.
All the staff were very friendly and professional. When I told them that we’d been cold the previous night, they brought a heater up to our room.
Excellent breakfast ( including vegetarian sausages when I asked if they had any ). There was also a gluten free trolley."

"We had our last night on the Fingal after 2 nights on the royal mile, all staff were very friendly, attentive and made you feel right at home . No pretentious feel at all about the place, which was down to the welcoming staff., accommodation was excellent and highly recommended"

"Edinburgh 4Friends House is a wonderful accommodation with everything: location, atmosphere, and service. Located in the city center, it is conveniently located within walking distance of tourist attractions such as Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. The rooms and common areas are clean, and the calming interior will soothe your travel fatigue. The owner and staff were very kind, and the sightseeing advice and warm hospitality were impressive. In addition, the kitchen facilities are well-equipped, so it is recommended for long-term stays and those who like to cook their own meals. You can sleep soundly in a quiet environment, and the affordable price makes it excellent value for money. It is a very satisfying place to stay when visiting Edinburgh!"

"This hotel is historic and grand, I highly recommend it. Was once the Harbor Master's house for the port of Leith and it truly holds all of the charm of a historic building, but with many cool upgrades! The area is really charming, just off the water and a fairly quick bus ride to all the downtown sites. Every single member of the staff from the restaurant, to housekeeping to the front desk really went out of their way to be kind, helpful and attentive. This was a trip of a lifetime for me and they truly made my visit to Edinburgh all the more. I highly recommend The Malmaison. Thank you so very much for an excellent stay. "
