Cedar House Boutique B&B

We had a really lovely time over the Easter weekend. The property and the grounds are beautiful but a little bit tired in places, which only really added to the look. The housekeeper who greeted us was so lovely and welcoming and our room was fantastic. It was a really unusual space and we had a huge balcony which we enjoyed. The only downside was on the first night we struggled to get any hot water for a shower, but after asking for some help the housekeeper came and sorted it for us. The breakfast was lovely and there was lots of choice. All in all, a really good stay

Das Zimmer roch muffig und die Heizung funktionierte nicht. Wir bekamen aber einen kleinen Radiator. Stoff an den Sesseln war verschlissen (Löcher und unsauber). Duschen war nahezu unmöglich - es plätscherte ein wenig aus der Brause, daran hätte man sich gewöhnen können. Aber das Wasser war entweder sehr heiß oder eiskalt. Eine angenehme Temperatur im Wohlfühlbereich oder "plus minus" ging leider nicht. Der frische Bettbezug war übersät von Tierhaaren - dies wurde aber sofort und mit herzlicher Entschuldigung gewechselt - daher Pluspunkt für die Freundlichkeit der Hausdame und die tolle umgehende Reaktion. Alle Mitarbeiterinnen, die wir kennengelernt haben, waren unglaublich freundlich und herzlich. Das Frühstück war lecker und es gab eine gute Auswahl. Die Croissants sind ein Traum. Das Haus und das Grundstück sind toll und geschmackvoll - schade, dass es bei unserem Zimmer doch erhebliche Mängel gab. Ansonsten wäre es ein toller Ort zum Wohlfühlen.

Lovely setting Lovely setting and the house has lovely grounds, the swimming pool and hot tub are great additions and we also discovered there was a sauna but we never got to try it. The owners are friendly and welcoming and our suite was comfortable and quaint.

Lovely hotel Lovely hotel and really attentive staff. Breakfast was delicious. Pool and gardens were a big bonus. Balcony was nice too. Just a few small things that need addressing. Some of the lights in our room needed replacing and some bulbs had been taken out and not replaced either. Also providing some slippers and dressing gowns would be a simple win.

This is a lovely old house. Small pool and a hot tub. Huge gardens. Our room (Genius) was big. Comfy bed, lovely shower. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only down point was big thick duvet in summer and no alternative available.
