Ravenwood Hall Hotel

Joined three friends for a meet-up and afternoon tea, anticipating a lovely plate of freshly prepared delicacies in the beautifully refurbished hotel. Pleasant staff. But because two of us had bought a glass of wine on arrival, we had to ask for the tea to go with the food. The 3-tiered cake stand arrived with some finger sandwiches on the bottom, large fruit scones on the middle tier and smaller cakes on the top. The sandwiches were fresh, but incredibly boring and bland. The scones were stale and commercially made (revolting). The jam equally artificial and tasteless. The cakes were also commercially bought in (?Costco - perhaps not, their products are very good!) so artificial and greasy. Come on guys!!! It’s a competitive world out there! You expected us to pay £80 for a sub-standard small selection of bland and unappetising food. Very unimpressed and underwhelmed, and despite the lovely setting and ambience, we won’t be recommending your hotel for food. Such a shame, you could be onto a winner with your location. Amazing experience and stay at Ravenwood Hall Hotel for a family wedding. All staff were on hand ready to answer any questions and help out wherever they could. Everyone was friendly, rooms were clean and comfy and the bbq on the Sunday was delicious. Special shout out to Sammy for our VIP experience and for making it such an enjoyable stay!! 10 stars ⭐️

Had our wedding at Ravenwood Hall yesterday. The team could not have been better - from the moment we booked - all through the arrangements for the day and the front of house and Pavillion staff it really could not have gone better for us. Even “Cheddar” the cockerel joined in at the appropriate moment. We wouldn’t hesitate to reccomend Ravenwood Hall to anyone looking for a relaxed country event on beautiful surroundings Special thanks to Samy who looked after us SO well on the day and made sure it all went without a hitch. delighted by the makeover. We had booked in for Sunday lunch and an overnight stay with our two little dogs. I would like to offer our observations herewith rather than on social media: No remote for TV. When I went to the hotel around 5pm to find someone there was nobody about nor the means to contact someone (no bell at reception) so I had to wander from room to room shouting to make myself heard. A bell needs to be installed at reception. We couldn't call from our room as the phone didn't work nor was there any WiFi in the room. Later a remote was provided but due to no WiFi we were unable to get the TV to work. No food after 6pm.? We found this very inconvenient. This is a high quality "Hotel" establishment and not to serve paying guests staying with you some kind of light bar snacks (room service menu) has never in 30 years of staying in hotels happened to us before. Having taken lunch at 2pm by 7pm we were in need of something. In the year 2025 in such a "luxury" establishment, leaving Nescafé in bedrooms is so not acceptable. Coffee bags are easily and economically purchased on bulk, Nescafé is not coffee. Missing bulbs in bedroom and outside lights immediately outside our room (3). A minor attention to detail. No umbrella in room. Providing rooms where guests need to walk outside to enter the main building, branded umbrellas are a must, these can be mentioned in the welcome folder as many do for toiletries now, "if not left in room when vacated will be charged for". Our lunch though pleasant, was served with a poor selection of tepid vegetables with no serving spoons nor with the horseradish sauce. The beef whilst acceptable was not the tastiest. After an evening drink in the bar we decided to sit under the vines to read. The staff saw us sit there but no lights were turned on for us under the vines which would have made the evening quite special. It was noticed that the pool sides and bottom were very dirty so wouldn't have used. To not serve cafetiere coffee at breakfast or after a meal was poor also. Finally, never have we been charged a supplement for ham or salmon at breakfast, we were very disappointed at this. Please accept our comments as constructive, as a provider of accommodation for many years we felt let down by these items, from what was otherwise a very pleasant

We arrived fairly late for an unplanned overnight stay. Duty Manager was genuinely so kind, welcoming and obliging, even arranging for us to have some dinner. He went above and beyond the level of service normally offered at a hotel to help us settle in very comfortably and it was so appreciated. New decor has transformed the venue since we last attended a wedding 15 years ago. Rooms and public areas are fresh and stylish with high quality furnishings. We had a great breakfast and decided to stay and enjoy the beautiful gardens and have lunch. The staff are friendly and efficient and we were so well looked after. It was such a relaxing day! This hotel is a real gem and will no doubt build into an extremely popular venue. It certainly deserves to.

What a lovely hotel! The decor and ambiance was lovely and the countryside setting was so peaceful. The food was delicious and we throughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
