After a long flight all I wanted was to check in and shower. There was no water and they were saying the pumps broken. After looking at more reviews I saw it’s been happening for more than two years. I booked the Sahari Hotel next to it so I can shower. Owner never wanted to refund and cancelled my reservation saying it’s a no show so I cannot do a review on booking dot com. This place is a scam! Avoid at all costs!

Terrible place. No proper check in. Waited more than an hour to have the rooms ready. Finally got a room without any water. And no AC due to a power problem. Hot and sweaty without a shower. We left this place and booked another nearby. But the owner refused to refund us. So we wanted the Masai people Mr Mackintosh and Mr Michelangelo who stay on the beach nearby to use our room instead because we weren’t refunded but the owner wouldn’t give us the key again. Bad service and worse hotel.

WARNING! Don’t go here! Made the mistake of booking this place and ruining my whole Zanzibar experience. I paid $90 for the AC room and I Arrived here After an 18 hour flight. Nobody spoke English or knew of our booking. We waited for 2 hours to get the room and I only wanted to shower. BUT the water wasn’t working. They said it’ll be repaired but when I checked the reviews it happens very often. We went to the Sahari hotel to use the pool and shower and came back 4 hours later and the water still wasn’t fixed. We moved to another hotel the same night and the owner refused to offer a refund for the 2 nights we booked. And she put the booking as a NO SHOW on *********** so I cannot review them. WARNING! DONT GO HERE! Better sleep on the beach for free than paying to stay here.

En arrivant car nous avons mis du temps à trouver entre faire le permis zanzibarien et se faire arnaqué pour le plein de gazole penser à la monnaie locale, ce fut mal indiqué pour parvenir à l'hôtel là vue est belle dommage que la plage est sale comme son environnement Nous avons eu de la chance d'avoir une chambre où il y avait la clim et de l'eau même si elle était sale et puante, mes enfants furent dans les bungalows ou insectes, odeurs, chaleur fut insupportable. Les repas sont correct mais au bout de 10 jours des diarrhées par ailleurs commander 3h avant car ils leur faut tout autant pour nous servir, peu de place par rapport aux nombres de personnes accueillit et pas confortable, attention de bien vérifier la note et vos consommations car beaucoup d'erreur on nous rajoute une bière pas fraîche par si par la, acheter l'eau a l'extérieur car il se gave a l'hôtel, nous avons voulu faire travailler des gens de l'extérieur pour des massages car celle de l'hôtel à mis 1 semaine à nous répondre et un raquette se met en place enfin un peu cher comme voyage pensez à faire votre test le jour du départ à l'aéroport 25 dollars /personnes

We booked 5 nights there but we had to escape after 1st night. Super dirty rooms insects in beds and staff which try to cheat you on prices in restaurants as their menu was not updated with new prices, really terrible experience not recommended
