I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms were fine. The breakfast was okay, enough to set you up for the day and the gym was particularly good. The staff were friendly and helpful.
My only complaint is the about the air conditioning. My room was always very hot and when I asked why the AC couldn’t cool the room down, they told me that for winter there are no cold options on the ACs. My room was about 28 degrees and the staff suggested using the fan function but that only put more hot air in the room. It was cooler in the corridor than my room. I hope that they can reconsider this policy as I wasn’t able to get much sleep on my final night as the room was far too hot (even with the window open)

Because some floors are under renovation, there are construction noises. I called the front desk and it was handled in half an hour. There was also a lot of dust due to the renovations. But overall it was quite welcoming and the transportation was convenient, so I chose to stay for three or four nights.

The location is in the city center, and it is very convenient to go everywhere.
The room is very spacious, a three-bed room. The shower did not work and it was fixed quickly.
The front desk helped me buy a conversion plug.
The breakfast was rich and delicious.
One day we came back late and they made dinner for us.
I spent an unforgettable time here with my two children alone. I am very grateful to every staff of the hotel.

However, there were several other hotels in the same building, so it was a bit confusing. There is no elevator, so it is all stairs, so it is difficult to carry a large suitcase. However, the location is great, and there are many museums and restaurants in the area, so it is very good. The breakfast is rich with freshly baked toast, fruit cocktail, yogurt, cheese, and cereal. You can enjoy it on the balcony with a nice atmosphere, or they will bring it to your room if you ask. However, the breakfast was the same every day. It is located along a big road, so there is a lot of traffic and you can hear the horns of cars and other things all the time, which is noisy. Also, the sound insulation is very poor, so it is better to have earplugs. Towels and soap were provided in the shower room. When I checked in, I was offered a tour of the pyramids and the museum for $65. There is a charge for the food in the refrigerator. No toothbrush.

I had a sitting room, bedroom and bathroom. Everything including floors, beds and bed linen, the bathroom, toilet and shower, was super clean. The shower has good water pressure. The bed was very firm.. Everything worked. The location is really good.

The advantage is that the room is large, the bathroom is separated from wet and dry, and the staff are very friendly and courteous.
The disadvantage is that the sound insulation is not good. The sound of cars on the road and the music downstairs can be heard clearly at night.

It is an old hotel, I had no problems and it was very good. The breakfast was great. Only the rooms are very noisy from the street, even during the middle of the night. The location of the hotel is also good, close to Tahrir Square.

I must give this a five-point praise, because it completely exceeded my expectations. The hotel is in a very convenient location, the surrounding environment is also good, it is very new, the room has everything, it is not inferior to a five-star hotel, and there is a kitchen to cook, which is very suitable for me to travel during Ramadan. There is also a washing machine, and even washing powder is prepared. There is a retractable clothesline in the bathroom, just in time for me to wash all the clothes after two weeks of being away. The Internet is also very good. In short, life here is very convenient, highly recommended.

GGuest UserWe would definitely come back again! We have enjoyed staying at Salam 275 hotel during our visit to Cairo. The room we booked was exactly as it’s described online, the stuff are very nice and respectful and they go above and beyond to help their gusts with everything they need
And specially MOHEMADE RIFAD who work at the front desk is a supper genuine, very special nice man! The first night we checked in at their hotel, we did not have any Egyptian currency yet to purchase anything, and thus, he went ahead and paid for all of our meal from his own money… (and offer to help if theirs anything else that we need) and we returned his money to him the next day.
They assisted us with everything we need at the hotel and or outside, directing us touring the city, places to go and even find us the honest taxi drivers that we can use. We appreciate their hospitality
GGuest UserIt was great that it was right in front of the Egyptian Museum and within walking distance of the famous Koshari restaurant.
The hotel staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great. The room was clean and spacious, so there were no particular issues.
The only thing I can say is that since it's on a main road, the traffic noise was quite loud at night.
But considering the location, I think it was worth staying there.
BBeckCastle Hotel is the best place to discover Cairo! It felt like home to me. I was in 8 different hotels in Cairo on my tour: castle hotel is my family and my choice no1 now. I know where to go to on future trips. Castle Hotel :) The hotel is located in the 16th floor, so you have the best view you can find. You can see so far. You can the city, the Nile, a little bit of a pyramid. Best traffic connection because ramses street. Shops 1 minute walk. Abu tarek koshari 5 minute walk, river Nile 5 minute walk. The staff is amazing. Friendly, always willing to help, welcoming, discrete. It’s a very nice vibe up there. The sounds of the city far away. Very relaxing. Next time I book an extra night just to enjoy the view. It’s just vibrant there and you feel the energy of the city. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you for everything! See you!
AAnonymous UserGeneral impression - a normal place to stay for a few nights.
Perfect location nearby Egyptian Museum and the Sadat subway station. But this causes a very noisy surrounding: honking cars move just beneath the windows all day long. Helpful staff. A very nice cafe La Poire accessible without leaving the building. Good breakfast, a lot of options changing daily. Coffee could have been better though. The room was cleaned (I moved two beds together and found no dust underneath), but it's quite weary. The window lock didn't work, the fridge was loud. Black mold in the shower was upsetting, too. No iron nor ironing board in the room, but ironing service available at a reasonable price about 50 EGP per piece.
GGuest UserPerfect location just across the road from the Museum. The hotel is safe for solo travelers, and there are police officers stationed on the ground floor of the building. Rooms are clean and basic breakfast is served in the room. Be aware of booking any additional services as the manager has the tendency to change the price and request higher price (in my case triple) than the agreed amount at the time of booking. The incident made me feel very uncomfortable as I am not used to being spoken to in a rude/ unfriendly/ border line aggressive manner by men, especially service providers. It did leave a bad impression at the very end of my stay.
XXINLAN1. The location is good, within walking distance to the Egyptian Museum, subway, and kazaz, which is a 1.3km walk from gobus tahir station, which is very downtown.
2. The hotel has an elevator, which is very rare. I have stayed in a nearby hotel which is also located in an old house. There is no elevator and I need to carry my luggage. The elevator is not big enough to accommodate about 4 people (without luggage), but it is much better than climbing stairs by yourself.
3. There is one triple room and one double room. The triple room is quite spacious and the standard room is not large enough.
4. There is no hot water kettle or hair dryer in the room, you can ask for it at the front desk, but the number of these two items in the entire hotel is limited, so I waited for a long time...
5. It’s more cost-effective to pay in US dollars than in Egyptian pounds. The exchange rate for paying Egyptian pounds is not so good.
6. Breakfast starts at 8:00. If you want to go to the Black and White Desert, the driver usually picks up at 7:30. If you don’t have time to eat breakfast, you can go to the rooftop restaurant to pack some (the restaurant is still preparing breakfast at 7:30, and the things that can be packed are limited. Eggs, bread, flatbread, jam, that’s all)
WW_H0883The hotel is basic but very fair considering the price point. It is also very close to the airport and there are many supermarkets around the area. I recommend this place if you search something to be close to the airport. The host is extremely friendly and takes good care of his guests.
GGuest UserIn the same building with other hotels, it is not easy to find. The facilities in the building are relatively old, the elevator is very old, and the door has to be opened by itself, which is quite interesting. The facilities in the house are okay, you can try it. The price of this kind of hotel in Cairo is still cheap. It is very close to the Khalili market. The breakfast is also very good. If you are not very particular, you can stay here.
AArman964The staff were friendly and good. The location and the view wasn't that good, my shower was broken but the staff came to fix me as soon as I complained. The water was cold so that's a minus point and it was going under construction so a bit noisy.
