Gavimar Ariel Chico Hotel and Apartments

Massive shout out to Jose and Robin who really made it for the teenagers (Hope and Esmee) I was with for this holiday. We had a fantastic time and they endless enthusiasm and energy was massively appreciated. Thanks fellas!! I was generally very pleased with the value of this place . It was exceptional for the first few days but I would say the last day or two in the dining where not as great as more and more people arrived for the season . But I will say I loved Cala D’Or and I would come back and again exceptional value. But that fifth star is due to the masters of entertainment. The fabulous duo of Robin and Jose. Thank you for the fun quizzes, the crazy golf, the ridiculous dancing and being constantly ready to make everybody smile. It makes a big difference!

After reading bad reviews I was nervous but I shouldn’t have been . On arrival the receptionist was so friendly and helpful . Our request of a ground floor apartment was met (I called in advance) . Our apartment was very clean , spacious and pleasant. The aircon was lovely and cool and the beds were super comfy . We stayed in an apartment near the other small pool which was great as it’s much quieter however we managed to get chairs and shade at the main pool each day too with no issues. Food - again I was surprised. There was plenty of choice . Hot fresh food and what you would expect for a 3 star all inclusive . The kids loved it . Churros and pancakes every morning and although the English sausage was questionable at times there was lots of choice , dinner was great however it does (as with any all inclusive) get a little repetitive so we ate out a few times. Staff were great and kept the dining room clean at all times. Only negatives were - Snacks at the pool side bar were not great .cold burgers , chips and hot dogs that sat around for a while and you have to pay for a plate . Much better to go to the main kitchen where the food it hot . You have to pay 1euro for a cup then self serve your drinks which is fine however it’s a pain at times and the cups are small so in the heat when your drinking fast it can be annoying to keep going up and down . I saw some people who had brought their own bigger cups which was a great idea . Overall great holiday , great hotel and fantastic location !!!

Absolute Joke! My mother and i arrived on the 30th of June 2025. First of all the lift was out of order and I had to carry two 22kg suitcases up two flights of stairs. Food- food is inadequate with little choice and not cooked properly. Food is left out too long before being changed for new food. It goes stale and loses taste. Cleanliness- in the room is bare minimum, sand left in room, dust everywhere. Cleanliness at the main bar outside where the stage is. Was an absolute joke and a half. Tables not clean. Remnants of drink and food on tables. Floor not moped in the 2 weeks we were there. Attracts insects and mosquitoes due to sticky drink on the floor. Staff- speak bare minimum English at reception. Cleaners speak none whatsoever. However we'll mannered. Room- no fridge, curtains fell down at balcony door. Maintenance upkeep is inadequate at best, no frosted glass in the bathroom window onto balcony. Window does not shut properly. Entertainment- absolute joke, kids not interested in the mini disco. Adults not interested in the poor quality shows. Same stuff 2 weeks in a row. Absolute joke! All in all. 3 star rubbish. Will never be returning and I strongly advise you do not travel to this resort. Absolute waste of 4 grand.

Just got back from a 10 night stay and was pleasantly surprised after reading some awful reviews, check in at 11.30pm was quick & easy a little form to fill in and if you have your holiday voucher online print it out or you will need to email it to them, stayed in room 1515 was very clean, looked newly refurbished, beds and pillows really comfortable, room was cleaned everyday, air con broke first day so told reception and it was fixed within 20 mins worked fine rest of stay , our block also had a lift if you was on a floor above. breakfast was lovely dinner at snack bar wasn’t great we ate out, evening meal was good plenty to choose from, entertainment was ok, found staff very friendly. Main pool really big always got a sunbed but had to queue from 9.30 till it opened at 10 if u was any later it was full. Small cove beach 2 mins walk was very nice, The area is beautiful 2 mins to beach cove shops and restaurants. Not a big fancy hotel but well worth the money we paid.

Where do i start!! ... absolutely disgusting!! .. Stayed in one bed apartment. Ants everywhere, cuttlery and utensils in kitchen so dirty. No hot water for shower. Beds rock hard. Curtains with mold on them. Never again.

We are here at the moment and if we could afford to leave then we would! One night we had no water at all, so the toilet didn’t even flush!! We went to the reception and they offered no help or apologies. Another night we had no hot water, complained again and no apology was made. The WiFi does not work and the rooms are so dated. We are room only so didn’t get given a wristband, the restaurant manager came over and told us we had to leave the pool and questioned us infront of everyone saying we are wrong and we would of got given a wristband. He did this infront of lots of guests and offered no apology when we showed him our room card. There are so many better hotels and nicer staff so please go there. Amazing area but unpleasant hotel room and staff ruined our experience unfortunately.
