Valentin Star Menorca - Adults Only

Here at present. So far only complaint is room has an unpleasant smell when you enter could be old smoke, or just the fact the rooms are quite old and in need of modernising. Weve also been given a room clearly meant for wheelchair access , which we dont need. Not bad enough to request change but just wondered if anyone else noticed this in their rooms. Update review at end of stay

Everything about this hotel was top class service ,staff, pool, room , great value for money with top quality classy definitely recommend this hotel , we where getting picked up for transfer home and my husband got a call night before about a breakfast he went to reception to collect it and what was in the bag was amazing they went above and beyond

Just got back from a lovely stay at Valentin Star. Thank for a lovely room overlooking the harbour. All staff were absolutely amazing. Blonde guy around the pool area was so caring. Immaculately clean everywhere, restaurants, bar area, rooms and the pool was stunning. Great entertainment. Very peaceful hotel. Lovely little touches from the moment you stepped in the door really make a difference. My only thing to say is my opinion the rooms need updating, they are very clean and cleaned every day and beds very comfy, just could do with revamp. My only other thing was not being able to sit outside in the terrace area or other things only for full board guests. As a paying guest was slightly disappointed. Otherwise a lovely stay and will definitely return. Big thank you to all staff at the hotel for making my holiday so enjoyable and relaxing Jane

Second time back to this hotel on halfboard. This is a wonderfull hotel but was a bit disappointed with certain changes. They have now introduced all-inclusive premium. We were unaware of this when we booked with jet2.A lot of seats were now being reserved in restaurant and certain areas like the entertainment room.It did make us feel like we were been treated like second class citizen's.The food in the restaurant is normally second to none.However! this time we found it was still good but the standard from previous stay had dropped a little.IE. empty trays of food,sometimes cold,meat still undercooked,searching for small spoons to eat certain desserts. Breakfast time we were feeling uncomfortable as we experienced tables being prepared for the evening next too you while having to search for a dressed breakfast table. That said the staff were excellent as usual.The facilities and rooms are top class.Would we return? Not sure as yet.

The Valentine Star was just a perfect hoilday. The food, all staff from cleaners,bar,pool area restaurants,reception and of course management was outstanding. We upgraded to all inclusive on arrival. Definitely value for money. Such a peaceful resort. Can see when talking too other guests why they return endless times. Thanks.for a wonderful, relaxing holiday.

Just returned home after another fantastic week at Valentin Star, our fifth visit! we were a little concerned before this visit as we had read negative comments about the new premium service, we decided to give it a try and upgraded while we were there and were happy that we did, however since being home we've already looked at re-booking for next year and the premium price via Tui has been hugely increased so it will be back to half-board for us! Valentin Star are obviously trialling this new system and we were hearing lots of negative comments from our fellow guests, they also seem to be trialling new entertainment, some more of a success than others, lots of comments about the music around the pool late-afternoon and a shame that most of the evening evening is held indoors even when the weather is good. The food, cleanliness etc were up to their usual high standard and again it was nice to see the reserving of sunbeds being policed each morning. What really makes this place is the staff, not only is it lovely to be recognised each year when we arrive, but they are all so hard-working and a credit to the hotel......notible people to mention - Vicente who always looks after us so well, Diego and Carolino who were very attentive in Vanetino's and the gold star goes to Lorenzo who works so hard, not only serving lunches and drinks etc, but being so attentive with the guests when they needed help in anyway around the pool. Will will be back for a sixth visit? of course we will!
