Hotel Oasis Park Splash

We have just come back from here, the kids pool is great only problem is there is no where near enough sunbeds for the amount of guests or room for them either and around 2pm the sun is completely gone behind the hotel so the kids pool gets no sun from then onwards. U want sun all day u have to go upstairs which isn’t a kids pool it has a shallow end but it’s not very big and gets to busy for how many guests there are. And very slippery tiles around all the pools snd so u need to be really careful and not much room to move around where all the sunbeds are cramped into the tiny space. The slides are great. The food was lovely but was warm advise to heat up in the microwave if u don’t like it warm. There wasnt alot for kids other than pizza chips and pasta. To get a drink if your all inclusive u have to wait till 10:30am which is a crazy time when paying customers can get a drink from 10am around the pool side. Snacks available during the day burger/cheese burger & chips, popcorn. Entertainment was good the kids had fun. The rooms were lovely and clean and modern, a few people around us 1 inc my friend who we went with had problems with their rooms with blocked showers which flooded their bathrooms but ours was ok. The staff are lovely. There is shops nearby and the town isn’t far neither is the beach but it’s not a sandy beach it’s stoney. We had a lovely time but it was to chaotic for us with trying to get a sunbed and being cramped in with so many people. Just Couldn’t relax. So we won’t be returning. Arriving is crazy u just get dropped off and was made to find our own way to the hotel without no direction or anything. Luckily it isn’t far from the drop off it’s just down the road but if it’s all knew to u it would be nice for some direction we only knew it was up a hill because of the reviews on here. the airport as well is just crazy trying to get home u don’t get told anything coming or going. Going home we couldn’t figure out how to get to terminal 2 so we had to ask a number of people while getting quite stressed because we didn’t have no clue and how to get to the shuttle when some of it is closed off again no re direction of where to go instead.

I paid £680 for me and my daughter for 3 days. I’ve paid for a week in Majorca for similar for a much higher standard. Calella itself, is run down and there’s nothing really here. The hotel, it isn’t worn down or gross but it’s just SO busy. Queues for everything. The pool situation is stressful, it’s just not enjoyable, at all. It’s full of the worst British tourists you can think of (I’m British myself) but it’s full of the really terrible, rude ones. I checked in at 18.30, went straight down for food at 19.00 - average, if I had a week of it I’d be stressed. As soon as we’d eaten I said to my daughter that that we should go out. I’ve never ever done that before in a hotel. The whole vibe is just chaotic and horrible. Also, had a wine with my dinner which was pure water. I’m writing this review on my first night at midnight where I can still hear kids running around and families drunk and shouting. It’s vile.

We arrived at the hotel around 2:30am after a stressful transfer to find that the rooms were not set up correctly. The cot for a baby was in the wrong room. When you go for breakfast expect to be waiting around in a queue just to get some eggs and then non of the other food is remotely warm. The drink stations are beyond a joke. 2 machines in the whole building so yet again waiting a queue. Not great when you have a family with small children as you have to go up separately wait in queues all holiday. There is only 2 lifts for a seven story building so yet again standing around waiting. We had a room just off from the lifts and stairs all you hear is people screaming and running around the corridor's. 2 drink limit even for soft drinks so yet again if you have a family expect to be in a queue more 15minutes to get served as only 2 staff working from either side as you can get served from two hatches. The pools where okay kids pool was very cold. But the side are a great addition. Put on your running shoes for a bed as pool opens at nine but another queue has already started to form at 8:30. Entertainment is very questionable. Starts at half nine and they sing the same 5 song every night. If you can go out I advise The town look like this way past its best. Although take a walk down to the shops and it's fairly nice, coffee shops and souvenir shops. The beach is not sand and more like rock salt take some beach shoes. We stayed for a week and the weather was the best part off the holiday. It's a shame when you look forward to something but leave disappointed. I know everyone's holiday is different but if you don't want to spend all your time standing around I would strong advise booking elsewhere.

Really would not waste your time. This is a long read but covered everything. We are 2 adults and 2 children (6 and 3) • The room we have been given is so small! 2 double beds crammed into one studio space. One wardrobe with 5 hangers and 4 cubes to put your clothes. 4 people with clothes for 10days CANNOT manage with such space. We have been to a 3 star hotel in Turkey with more room. The shower is a waterfall one and is amazing though. The view is good as we were on the 4th floor. • sunbeds: you are not allowed around the pool until 9am and people start queuing ay the door to the pool at 8:30 to rush and reserve sunbeds even though there are signs not to. The hotel is 7floors with hundreds of rooms but by the main pool, there is only room for around 40 sunbeds. The kids splash pool can only fit around 25 sunbeds. As soon as the door opens people literally run and push to get to their spot. The hotel is so so busy you can not swing a cat. The people who sit next to you are practically sat on the same lounger. • Food: the food is just pathetic and do not cater for the English what so ever. Breakfast is meat, cheese, eggs, hot dogs and old fruit. You are not allowed fizzy drinks at breakfast time just warm juice and coffee. There are two machines that you que 20 minutes for Lunch is pizza, pasta, pork chops and fish. Lots and lots of fish. Dinner is the exact same as above except a lot more fish again! They do not really do pudding. They do warm yoghurt, old fruit and some sort of fruit cake. Again nothing 4star about it. • Kids entertainment: the hotel does not have any kids entertainment what so ever. Like NONE. We spent days round the pool and waited but for nothing. We also wanted to go to the indoor pool, again not open or accessible. The life guides do not speak a work of English, the bar staff do not speak English other than to take a drinks order. •Times- breakfast is 8-10 Lunchtime is 13.00-15.00 and dinner is after 19.00. What a joke especially with young children who are in a routine. They say they have pool food but this is burger and hot dogs. There are only so many you can eat in a day. No variety at all. The night time entertainment does not start till 9:30pm!! Again so so late when you have children who are used to being in bed for 8pm. • they operate a 2 drink rule which I can understand based on controlling alcohol, but when they see a dad getting drinks for the family which would be 2 cocktails and 2 juices, they refuse and make you take the 2 drinks back and come and que again. This is barbaric and the reason I say this is there is only 2 people serving at once, one at the window and one inside and there are always over 15 people queuing at one time so you are there for 20 minutes at a time. If you get a transfer from Barcelona airport, the coach can not take you to the hotel due to the narrow roads so they drop you off around 5min walk, uphill away. Where to start eventually got into our room after a hours wait checking in. To be fair that was a blessing if you was my brother he eventually got into his room a day later due to the sink collapsing. The food was good with a massive selection of pizza, pasta and chips no signage on any of the other dishes so if you have any allergies your into lucky dip territory. Kids are not allowed to have fun til 9.00. so be careful when booking with kids in this family hotel. Atmosphere on a night is good if you make it yourself the hotel put a kids entertainer on for half a hour then left thought it was a break but she never came back. If I was to give a honest review it would be don't come

You get what you pay for in life! Booked a real cheap 4 night break & cannot complain! OK, I can, but honestly, for the price... Was pleasantly surprised! The room was modern & cleaned daily. Drinks & bar were great. The only downside was the food but discovered the microwave on the last day... Just stick your brekkie in there & tbf only had 2 evening meals in there. The people we met made it. Sure, if you're looking for 5 star, then pay for it! Loved my holiday in this hotel!
