The North Branch Inn

We actually chose not to stay here and left early. In full transparency, we never called the owners to let them know we were disappointed in the accommodations. ******* needs to update how these accommodations work. The inn is made up of three different properties. Depending on the room you choose, you could be placed in a building across the street from the main inn. We found ourselves in the Post Office. The inside was fine, but the outside needs updating: Duct tape on window screens and peeling paint. There was no one in the building, no lights on, and it felt like an inn that was closed for the season. Maybe we booked during down time, but the woman who checked us in gave us little information about the grounds and didn’t seem to know if there would be breakfast in the morning. We did receive a message through ******* from the owners, but I didn’t see it until much later. Our bathroom was down the hall and needed a separate key to enter. The bed was not Comfortable, and our room overlooked a main street with much car noise. We tried to find the woman who checked us in to see if we could switch rooms, but couldn’t find anyone. Again, we didn’t call. Everything was clean, but didn’t feel very comfortable or welcoming. It might be very different during the busy season or when the restaurant is open. Since we were only a few hours from home, we decided to leave and eat the money. I booked because of the exceptional reviews, but that wasn’t our experience.

What a delightful stay! Cool old building in wonderful shape. Clean, comfortable. Countryside is beautiful! Breakfast was a gourmet treat! You will be pleasantly surprised! Owner Jake is a fabulous chef. Dining room offers dinner that is truly amazing. Staff is super friendly and interested in making your stay special. Thank you!

Stayed 2 nights. Would definitely return! Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Charming historic building. Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is about 25 min away. The surrounding area is beautiful and fun to explore.
