Sea Diamond Boutique Hotel & Spa

The overall service is good, except the waiters in the restaurant would never provide for the things u ask, e.g tomato sauce, ice, an additional plate,etc. For the half board, the restaurant will change the menu everyday n u can choose 1 starter, 1 main course , 1 dessert amongst the 2 or 3 choices. The room is very spacious n clean, comfy bed but the layout is no good. It is strange to have the bed in the middle of the room with the bath tub, wash basin n toilet surrounding the bed. But the cpu value is high compared with lots of other hotels in Mauritius. The room with jacuzzi is recommended

Le séjour a été totalement agréable du début jusqu’à la fin. Le personnel entier s’est montré aimable, serviable, agréable avec nous, nous avions l’impression d’être unique chaque jour. L’emplacement de l’hôtel est super, la chambre super grande et super belle. Le petit-déjeuner ainsi que le dîner sont super bon.

We had a 2 night stay. Pros: • stunning hotel, cool interior spaces • clean • Meticulously groomed gardens • great sea views from dining spaces • delicious food • quiet, relaxing • luxurious feel • comfy sun beds • some of the staff were very sweet - we had a great interesting conversation with the man who checked us out, the luggage guy was very sweet & attentive, the manager who we asked for more water was very apologetic & such a kind man, one of the quieter waitresses was so smiley & kind • bedroom decorated for our anniversary Cons: • room was nice but cramped, there was barely enough space to keep 2 suitcases open and there were no hangers in the wardrobe • ran out of decaf coffee • sea was cloudy & silty, we visited all beautiful beaches while in Mauritius & were surprised by this. This isn’t the hotel for you if you like to actually go in the sea. • although letting them know in advance, they didn’t remember about one of us being gluten free upon arrival & at restaurant had to tell them again. They went to find out what I could have while another staff member came over and asked the same questions. Felt like they weren’t prepared for me. • no gf labelling on anything in the breakfast buffet was a bit disappointing, I would have asked whether I could eat some of the cereals but the staff were too stretched • no where to fill up water yourself, you get a glass bottle when they make the room & in the evening but it’s not enough between 2 for the day • no bin in room, we aren’t the kind of people to feel comfortable with someone having to hand pick our rubbish and not having one made the room feel messy. Wasn’t amended after asking for one. • there were a lot of ants right outside our door that kept making their way into the room. • restaurant staff were obviously overstretched and so usually took a while to get someone’s attention • quite a few times we heard restaurant staff being told when they were doing things wrong. This was pretty noticeable and we felt awkward for them. • we booked with a staff member in the spa to use the sauna a few hours later that same day. We turned up and there was no staff around, we waited a while but no one turned up so we took ourselves into the sauna thinking we were supposed to just go in ourselves. It took us a while to figure out how to use the sauna. We got out and opened the outside door, the spa staff member said something along the lines of that there were guests waiting to use the sauna in a kind of passive aggressive / irritated tone. This really upset me, I felt overlooked and it was like we weren’t supposed to be there. I don’t know why those guests were to have the sauna prepared for them but there was nobody there to help us when we needed it. • we were told when checking in that there would be a room for us to shower, get changed and put our things in our suitcase on our last day after checking out as our flight was not till the evening. We had a fantastic stay and we would especially like to highlight the exceptionally friendly and professional staff – we’ve rarely experienced such a high level of service and attentiveness. Our room was spacious, with plenty of storage and a layout that made us feel right at home. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of fresh and high-quality options. Dinner was truly a highlight – every evening featured a three-course menu with fish, meat, and vegan options, and everything was absolutely delicious. We also really appreciated the special events organized by the hotel management, such as a stylish gin evening and a “meet and greet” with the heads of different departments. These were great opportunities to connect with both staff and other guests – a very thoughtful and engaging touch. The spa area was outstanding, ideal for relaxing and unwinding. The massages were very professional, although a bit on the pricey side – but that’s fairly typical for a hotel setting. The bed was incredibly comfortable, most likely due to the recent renovation and new mattresses. Cleanliness throughout the hotel was good, though there’s still some room for improvement in small details – for example, avoiding water marks when mopping or dusting more thoroughly behind the toilet. In summary: A truly enjoyable stay that we can highly recommend

we are staying at this hotel, the hotel does not meet the stated level of service at all. The only advantage is the beautiful territory. The rest is a complete disadvantage, starting with the fact that by specifying the comments on the reservation in advance, the staff does not bother to read the wishes and gives exactly the opposite. They don't read the client's wishes. The bar in the room, tea, coffee, and water are never replenished, even if you ask at the reception, they tell you that they will send an employee, but no one comes. And because of this, you need to go several times and humiliate yourself so that you can replenish the supply of tea and water in your room every day. During dinner, the food arrives an hour or two later, people complain to the waiters, but they don't have any ready meals and they can't bring anything because the cook can't cook the food on time. People are forced to sit hungry and wait for two hours. Some people just get up and leave. This is an extreme degree of disrespect and the lowest level of service, which cannot be found even in two- and three-star hotels. I don't recommend this place in any way.

Excellent boutique hôtel 5* Les chambres sont magnifiques et vraiment d’un niveau de confort 5* Toute l’équipe du staff est formidable et fait tout pour que nous nous sentions très spécial. Le restaurant Fine Dîne est excellent et le restaurant gastronomique encore plus. Les plats sont variés et raffinés. La vue sur le lagon et les îles en face est magnifique. Le jardin est très beau. Tout était parfait! Un grand merci pour votre accueil si chaleureux.
