My wife and I showed up in Calpe during their patron saints festival. The second we entered the lobby we were greeted with smiling faces. when we got to our room the air conditioning wasn't working, within minutes their maintenance man temporarily fixed it. He came in the next day (while we were out) and completey solved the issue. The front desk girl Francesca, was amazing, not only did she facilitate the ac problem, but let us know about the festivities happening during our stay. Our Spanish is very limited to a south Florida mix, and communication was a bit difficult (pure Spanish vs Spanglish!) all of the employees there were very patient and kind.out of the 2 weeks and 3 different beach towns this hotel is amazing and I cannot stress enough about Francesca who made our first step into Spain the most memerobile and amazing trip! The rooms were great the views were amazing and the roof top bar was fantastic. when we visit Spain again this establishment will be our first stop!! Thank all of you guys for looking after us!!

We arrived at 11pm and was straight through check in no problem, we stayed in room 701 - for 2 weeks - B&B The Room - It was very large, clean and plenty of storage, large modern bathroom and beautiful terrace overlooking the sea - fantastic views. Cleaner came in every day and made the bed - to note towels changed every 3 days - you can pay extra to get them changed daily Breakfast - No issues what so ever with tables as per previous reviews - the staff were very quick to clear up the plates and ready the table for the next people - never had an issue with getting a table - Breakfast was very good, plenty to choose from, full english to cereal, fruit, crepes, the cook would make you an omelette as requested - zero issues - great breakfast Roof top bar - Great location for a roof top bar, fantastic views and service - cocktails were great Pools - Roof top pool was small but great for a dip The other pool on floor 1 was great for a bit of shade, plenty of sun across the day and pool was very good size and depth for a swim Location - Fantastic location for the beach, bars and restaurants Parking - We hired a car from Neptune Cars - 5 min walk from the hotel -had the car for 5 days and parked in the hotel car park for 15 euros per day - worth it for secure parking Overall this hotel was a great find - we had a great room, fantastic breakfast service and roof top bar - would stay again - fully recommend for others

Pros: - Location. The hotel is located right in front of the beach.  - The biggest plus and almost the only one was the animator, which has done his best to entertain us. He has organaised the minidisko especially for us (there were not much children in the hotel). All the quizzes and bingos were funny due to his charisma. So all the stars only for this.  - Cleaning was ok as usual.  Cons: - Towels are changed every 3 days. If you want get fresh towels, you need to pay 7€/day/person. This is just terrible. We don't usually require them to be changed more often, but it would be nice, if even the floor towel would be changed, because it becomes quite wet and dirty after the whole family showers and some sand from the beach lands there. - The kitchen is very poor. Technically there were some salads, fish, meet, pizza and some desserts. However, there assortment is far away from the 4 stars hotel. - The service in the restaurant was unacceptable slow. Few times we have got our drinks first when we were eating dessert. And that happened in the beginning of the dinner wjen there were not so much guests. Only after start of the season (apparently 2nd week of summer) more stuff was present. We have tried to give a feedback, but got just a standart message "we have many guests (what a surprise in summer), please come earlier (we cannot come before the opening of the restaurant...)". - The dishes and glasses in restaurant were dirty almost all the time. Every day we had to leave plates and cups to the side. The coffee machines were impossibly slow, what has generated queues all the time. Every automate gave a different volume of the coffee/water, ofter the same volume for the espresso and the long coffee and all guests were struggling with them, what has generated even more queues.  - Juices on breakfast were of a very poor quality and additionally machines often gave just a dirty water. Probably no one has paid enough attention to refill the machines. Same with salt on the tables. One day all of then were just empty. Additionally there were flying flies near the juices.  - Almost nobody in the restaurant speaks any other language than Spanish. City: Very quiet city. A couple of beautiful places. There are just a couple of souvenir shops, but very many bars and restaurants.  Good beach for children, where you have to walk 50m to be able to swim. No sunbeds are available. All the people are using beach chairs, which cost 20-40€ in the shop. It would be good service and very sustainable from the hotel, if it would offer hiring of the chars. Now people are buying them and throwing away athere the stay. There is just one car rental office in the city and prices are clearly higher than in Alicante, but cars are new and good. We could rent a car at the airport for the whole vacation and it would be cheaper, but the parking at the hotel costs 15€/day, which is quite expensive for such a small town. This was the worst hotel we have stayed in in Calpe. The room was ok but the bed was very uncomfortable and very hard. We enquired with reception and was told the mattresses are all the same. The shower cubicle was quite small and the shower head was aimed at the shower door, so the bathroom floor got soaked and the seal was not great. The Dining Room, we were B&B and I must say this is the worst dining experience we have ever had. The restaurant was noisy and unkept. The tables were not cleared after breakfast so it was very difficult to find a clean table to sit at. The coffee was via machine and was the worst coffee in the world and the food was tepid and tasteless. After the first day we couldn't face eating in there again and went out each day to have a nice morning coffee. The roof top pool was freezing cold and if you wanted towels for the pool area you had to be a 7 euro daily charge. The roof top bar was good and the staff made amazing cocktails. The only other good and positive thing I can say say is the location is great for this end of Calpe.

My second visit to this hotel for a long weekend , after a lovely summer holiday here in July 2024. I had the full board option and it didn’t disappoint, I enjoyed the meals. Buffet style can be a bit hectic , but I didn’t find it too bad , go early or late if you want quieter meal times. Will definately return here for a holiday in the future.
