Sol Palmanova Mallorca

Arrived 6th of July for 2 weeks ... location is excellent shops bars and gorgeous beaches all nearby...food is very repetitive but what we expected for all inclusive we chose to eat out number of times and did budget for this ..snack bar was very good all help yourself and the fact food had to be consumed in that area kept the hotel very tidy 😁 drinks are usual all standard all inclusive and the token for a cup wasn't too bad ..Shame no glasses were used inside so always drinking out of a plastic cup ..The big downside to this hotel is the pool and sunbed situation..pool area was lovely but way too small so crammed in like sardines ..and trying to get a sunbed is what almost spoiled our holiday people were reserving through out the night so hardly any sunbeds or space to put a sunbed even after 8 am ..We didn't let it spoil our holiday though and loved Palmanova and surrounding areas

Hotel: We have been three times to this hotel and would return again! It has everything you could possibly want if you’re taking family. It’s located right next to the beach, includes many different sized pools and kids clubs is a must! The staff are fantastic and love getting kids & adults involved in games. The ONLY thing that isn’t a 10/10 is the food, however, there is still a lot of options each day and it does the job! The rooms are basic and also do exactly what you need, considering you spend most of your time out of your room there’s nothing to complain about. There is also a little park behind the hotel on the way to the beach which the kids loved, and most nights they have an inflatable bouncy obstacle course. Theme Park: Only 15 minutes walk away is Katmandu, a fantastic theme park that includes small rides, crazy golf, splash park, soft play (which my one year old loved) you get 10 tickets per person and you can use them over a course of days so you don’t have to do everything in one day!! Restaurants: There are some gorgeous restaurants near by such as The Grill, Siso Beach and Barbuda Beach (all within 10 minutes walk).

Just my opinion Family of 8- 5 adults 3 kids youngest being 5 and myself being 22 weeks pregnant. Got to the hotel at 12pm and couldn't check in till 3pm (fair enough) 4 weeks before we came i emailed the hotel to arrange a cake and cava to be put in my mother-in-laws room as it was her birthday the day we landed, I paid €40 and the day we got there i double checked to make sure they had the right room and the right name, turned out when it came to check in they put it in the wrong room and wanted me to go and get it from the wrong room and put it in the correct room. The check in took ages and I mean ages, there were 2 members of staff on reception and the queue was building up and up and up, the reception staff were rude to me. We got to our rooms at 3pm and I paid for a family room as 2 adults and 2 kids would be in this room and I got a standard sol room with a sofa bed squashed into it, I was the same size as my mothers sol room and my mother-in-laws sol room. My kettle didn't work which was gutting because I love a brew in the morning, and you cant get one here until breakfast opens and they had no other kettles apparently, the air-conditioning was very weak. The shower is another paragraph. We had a bath tub with a over head shower, it had a glass screen that went across the bath but it was fixed and didn't move so you were forced to get in and out of the shower at the end of the bath between the gap of the glass screen and the wall but at the bit where the bath tub was slanted with nothing to hold on too and not gripper mat down or anything. I was in the shower and as I was getting out I slipped and had to try and grab the bathroom door frame and cut my hand on the hinge, bare in mind im 22 weeks pregnant and its hard to move around things as it is. Staff did nothing, no apology nothing, I complained to the jet2 rep about all of this and it got me nowhere. If you dont get downstairs at 6am you get no good sunbeds near the pool. We put our towels out one morning and a thunderstorm started and we got wet through amd so dis the towels so I went to reception to PAY for 4 towels €10 each and you get your money back at the end of your stay, I later went up to get another 4 towels that I was paying for for the rest of my party and reception questioned me why I need more as I've just had 4, I explained there is 8 of us and we need one each for the receptionists to roll her eyes and huff off. The beds are rock hard, the food is repetitive, bonus ill be coming home with a weight loss and not a gain. A massive open bottle of cleaning chemicals were left in the bedroom and my son had hold.of it asking what it was. All in all im just really disappointed with this holiday, was really looking forward to a family holiday before my family gets bigger and I need another holiday haha
