Have to correct a wrong from an earlier review. This hotel is in my opinion one of the best 3 star hotels in Spain. We as a family of 4 are used to always trying out different hotels 4 star/3 star throughout spain but we are always drawn back to the Son Baulo. Hotel basic but very clean and homely. Staff are a credit to their employers and you can tell they are very dedicated and professional in their duties of ensuring that the guests of the Son Baulo are having a lovely relaxing holiday. You wont get any better breakfast or dinner at most 4 star hotels and have to say this hotel comes out tops for quality and variety. David the entertainment manager is an absolute gent and has such a unique rapore with the adults and children who love him. Location of hotel is just spot on for us a nice 20 minute stroll along promenade to the livelier resort centre and hotel sits right on a lovely sandy beach with a sprinkling of cafe/bars with music within touching distance. Looking forward again to our visit in August. Unless you are ultra fussy and very difficult to please take previous reviews with a pinch of salt

The room was adequate for a 3 star, very clean, beds comfy, there were some details within the room that could have been better but all in all good. We were in room 126 overlooking the pool, on a night there was a constant tapping coming from probably the AC, but i wear ear plugs so it didn't keep me awake. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the bar staff were amazing working tirelessly serving drinks, as were the restaurant staff, very hard working employees. The food was super, something for everyone, fresh salads, fruits, always a roast meat carvery with vegetables, potatoes and even Yorkshire puddings, fish, paella & the sweet selection was probably one of the best ive had, even in a 5 star hotel. David the entertainment guy was an absolute pleasure, kept the kids and adults fully entertained, funny guy, he also worked his socks off. There was an act on every evening in the lounge keeping you entertained. The hotel is a little out of Can Pickafort, i would say 20 minute walk around the coast line, exactly 10,000 steps there and back to the centre. All in all i would recommend this hotel if your looking for an all rounder.

Really cannot fault Son Baulo, before I went I contacted them that I had walking difficulties and they were brilliant, they gave me a room close to the lift. The food is very good and plenty of choice. The entertainment was not bad, but bit repetative (for kids). I think this hotel is the cleanest I have been in and the nicest thing is the staff are the friendliest I have come across, always smiling and very efficient. Although we went early in the season there was plenty of sunbeds and I cannot see a problem with this later in the season, also nice to see nobody was putting towels on the beds to reserve them. The only problem that was annoying was the lack of seating in the entertainment room after your meal and we found lots of people was putting clothes etc on chairs and in some cases childs prams to reserve their seats proir to having their meal.

After a quick friendly check in we arrived at our sea view room. Incredible view over Alcudia bay. Room is large with minimal furniture. Cleaned daily apart from Mondays. Huge comfy bed and rainfall shower. Breakfast and dinner had everything you needed. Enough choices to keep everyone happy. Bread is freshly baked on the premises. There is always a large joint of meat at dinner, pork, beef lamb. Chef doesn’t scrimp on carved portions. The paella’s are amazing too. You get coffee, tea ect with breakfast but have to buy water and other drinks for your dinner, which you buy from waiters. Cash or card payments required for drinks at time of purchase. There is no facility to accumulate bills till end of holiday. Pool is clean and cold. There is a small baby pool. Lots of sun loungers. You’re right on the beach, which is clean and shallow. All ages and groups here, but wouldn’t recommend to 18-20 groups as there’s no nightlife nearby. A few small bars and restaurants locally if you fancy a change. Staff are very happy and friendly. I can see why this amazing family run hotel has been here since 1968. Great value, service and location. I would love to come back.

Although this is a 3* hotel, don't let that fool you. This hotel is extremely clean, EVERYONE is very friendly, and right on the beach, with a nature reserve park beside it. We stayed in a superior sea view room, 1/2 board, room was so clean, beds very comfortable,and the view was fabulous. Food👍Drink👍

We had a lovely view overlooking the pool. The staff are lovely. The food was great there was ample sunbeds around the pool and other areas no getting up at the crack of dawn to get a sunbed. I I found it was quite a noisy hotel especially at night after the entertainment had finished, people returning to their rooms, unfortunately, I feel it was because there were no carpets to dead in any noise. It is a dated Hotel but very nice. Not sure if I’ll return due to how noisy it is in the corridors and stairwell.

Excellent hotel. Visited with my mum and sister. Service and food were outstanding.The only downside were the bathroom as they are very dated and climbing into a bath for a shower is not great. The hotel is very clean and modern down stairs.well done

The quality of the food is excellent. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean. We never had a problem finding deckchairs near the pool. You have to pay if you want deckchairs on the beach. The hotel is at the quieter end of the resort but there's enough bars and shops nearby. It's next to a nature reserve where you can go walking. The staff are all friendly and work really hard.
