Camps Bay Retreat Hotel

From the moment you walk into this historic home you are transported into another world. An old-world charm with all the modern-day amenities you can be offered. The staff are friendly and very helpful in all aspects of your stay. The spa is on another level with its beautiful mountain spa tents which is an experience you will cherish for the rest of your life. Camps Bay Retreat truly is a gem and worth a visit.

What an experience! It was on the back end of our Africa trip before heading back to California. The photos online did not even do it justice. Andrew was wonderful, he assisted us for both the 2 days of our stay with a giant smile and a warm welcoming demeanor. That garden, the forest pods and the hanging bridge was just so so special, so magical. Hoping to come back in the summer in the near future.

Dirty and unkept property. Food is really unpleasant and staff are un-professional. Would not recommend. Should not be 5 star at all more like 3 star. There is also two dogs who mess all over the lawns. Worst of all was the very rude manager who did not like us addressing her on these issues

This was an amazing experience. The hotel is in essence an older and opulent residence. We stayed in the "eco-pods" which in essence are compact but comfortable shipping containers plopped in the middle of a forest. That sounds weird I guess but they are very cute and it was nice to be surrounded by a forest of sorts. Very close to the coast so easy to go for runs and walk to places to eat. The pods might not be for everyone if you are a light sleeper but we really enjoyed being surrounded by nature and being a bit off to ourselves but it was a bit loud during a storm which is just the nature of the eco-pod. Great service and excellent breakfasts too!

Dropped by for tea/scones one afternoon after spending lunch on Camps Bat beach. Managed to get seated on the lawn, overlooking the ocean from high up. What a view! Tea and scones were excellent, as was the wine. Tranquil and classy beyond words, this is a super little hide out in Camps Bay with lovely facilities and evidently cosy rooms and surrounds which include a rope bridge and panel court. Julie Le Bron, who hosted us for tea, is a diamond.

أقمنا في كامبس باي يوم السبت الماضي 22 مارس. كنا قد حجزنا الغرفة 12 (حيث أقمنا أيضًا في فبراير) قبل أكثر من 8 أشهر. عند وصولنا في 22 مارس، أخبرنا موظف الاستقبال/البواب أن الغرفة 12 مشغولة وكان علينا الإقامة في الغرفة 7. نظرنا إلى الغرفة 7، ووجدنا الغرفة صغيرة جدًا - نصف حجم الغرفة 12 - وبها القليل من الخصوصية حيث تقع الغرفة أمام بداية الجسر المعلق مباشرةً حيث يمكن للجميع الرؤية من الداخل. ثم ذكرنا هذا للبواب، ولكن وفقًا له، لم تكن هناك غرف أخرى متاحة. قبلنا الغرفة 7 على مضض، حيث اتضح أيضًا أن الغرفة كانت صغيرة جدًا لدرجة أنه لم يكن لدينا مكان لوضع أمتعتنا سوى عند المدخل أمام المطبخ الصغير (من يحتاج إلى مطبخ صغير في هذه الغرفة؟) لذلك تركنا كل شيء في الحقيبة. اكتشفنا أيضًا أن الدش لم يكن يعمل بشكل صحيح، مما أدى، من بين أمور أخرى، إلى تدفق المياه أسفل باب الدش. في المجمل، كانت خيبة أمل كبيرة وفشل ذريع، وخاصة أن يوم 22 مارس كان عيد ميلادي. هدية عيد ميلاد باهظة الثمن: 9710 زار أو 488 يورو لغرفة صغيرة بها عيوب. نصف المبلغ المذكور سيكون أكثر من كافٍ. أبلغت السيدة إريكا دو تويت بما سبق في اليوم التالي. قالت إنها وجدت هذا الأمر مزعجًا للغاية وستكتشف أين ارتكب قسم الحجوزات خطأ. وقالت أيضًا إن الغرفة 7 كانت أصغر بكثير من الغرفة 12 وأنها يمكن أن تتخيل أننا شعرنا بخيبة أمل كبيرة ووجدنا أن الغرفة 7 لا تستحق المبلغ المدفوع على الإطلاق. وللتعويض، عرضت علي خصمًا على إقامتنا القادمة في أحد فنادق المجموعة، لكن ذلك لم يكن مفيدًا لي في ذلك الوقت. أشرت إلى أن الخصم على الإقامة في الغرفة 7 كان أقل ما يمكنها فعله. كما السيدة كانت السيدة دو تويت تعمل مؤقتًا في منتجع كامبس باي ريتريت، ووعدتني بمناقشة الأمر مع السيد بيترو مونرو، مدير الفندق في منتجع كامبس باي ريتريت والذي كان يعمل في فندق ذا باي في ذلك الوقت، وأنني سأسمع منها أو من السيد مونرو في أقرب وقت ممكن، ولكن في موعد أقصاه يوم الثلاثاء 25 مارس 2025. وللأسف، لم أتلق أي رد من السيدة دو تويت أو السيد مونرو. ولدهشتنا، تلقى وكيل سفرنا، الذي حجزنا إقامتنا من خلاله، رسالة/بريدًا إلكترونيًا من منتجع كامبس باي ريتريت. وذكر هذا البريد الإلكتروني أنه عُرض علينا ترقية، أي غرفة بها حوض استحمام ساخن يعمل بالحطب. أمر غريب جدًا! أولًا، لم يتم إخبارنا بأي شيء عن ما يسمى بالترقية، وثانيًا، تحتوي الغرفة 12 أيضًا على حوض استحمام ساخن يعمل بالحطب، وثالثًا، إن الغرفة التي يبلغ حجمها نصف حجم غرفة النوم وبها قدر ضئيل جدًا من الخصوصية ليست ترقية بالضبط، بل هي تخفيض في المستوى!! ملاحظة: نتساءل عما إذا كانت أحواض الاستحمام الساخنة صحية إلى هذا الحد!
