"We had a lovely stay for a couple of days while attending my sister’s wedding. We stayed in the family room and arrived a few hours early as we were travelling from Essex. Kim, the manager, was absolutely brilliant. She could see we were a little stressed when we arrived and kindly suggested we go and get something to eat while she worked on getting our room ready. Within half an hour, the room was available for us, which was a huge help. Nothing was too much trouble for Kim. When we needed extra pillows, she sorted it. When we needed an iron and ironing board, she sorted that too. She even gave my boys some biscuits, which was a lovely touch. Premier Inn is very lucky to have a manager like Kim—she provided outstanding customer service throughout our stay. The room was clean, the food was good, and overall we had a great experience. We would definitely stay again and would happily recommend this hotel to others. My only minor suggestions would be that family rooms could benefit from a larger bin and a bit more storage space, especially when staying with children. Thank you to Kim and the team for making our stay so enjoyable! 😊"

"We stayed for two nights as our bathroom is being replaced at home. This is a former Premier Inn which retains the 'footprint' and build/comfort standard of a PI. The rooms have showers instead of baths which is perfect for me. I rang ahead and requested a ground floor room which was honoured- we were given room 2 which met our needs and requirements. Bed was really comfortable, tv had limited channels but I was able to log into my Netflix. There is hanging space for your clothes, a hair dryer and plenty of sockets, none by the bed though. The WiFi was adequate for our needs. There is free, secure parking provided at the rear of the hotel - you need a code to exit so as safe as can be. No noise considering the M4 motorway and main A48 sandwich the hotel. There is a restaurant for food but we didn't use it. Menu was a bit pricey but has good reviews. All the staff that we met were friendly. The Receptionists were lovely and a big shout out to Alice who sorted our return visit next week when we get back from holiday. For the money it's excellent value for a clean, friendly place to stay."

"I booked a twin room as a friend and I were travelling to Cardiff for a gig, however he couldn’t make it - I mentioned this on arrival and the receptionist said we have a room with a double bed if you’d like to swap which I did at no extra charge. I remember the Angel in its hey days which have now passed but a brilliant location, comfy beds and cheap. Stayed there a few times and it’s exactly as it says. Recommend it"

"Lovely stay, probably up there with one of the best stays I’ve had at premier inns and I use them quite a bit. The only reason only given 4 stars is they are incredibly short staffed. They couldn’t accommodate breakfast properly, and it’s not the staffs fault - in fact so many people had to ask for things and it was stifling hot so customers a bit irritable, yet every member of staff I saw apologised and was so friendly and professional. But none the less- due to the amount of customers to ratio of staff, breakfast wasn’t the best. For the rest I’d give 5 stars, the room was clean, spacious, and for once- the air con controls were self explanatory and you could adjust comfort (I always find this issue a let down at other premier inns) We got the 58 bus into Cardiff, and an uber back- all very reasonable. We found a secluded patch of grass round the back of hotel and walked to the local Lidl and did a picnic in the shade as was too hot for the pub garden (pub down the road was easy walking distance and we went the first night) Car park was spacious and seemed very secure. I’ll definitely be back (but probably won’t prepay for breakfast again and would rather walk to the pub for breakfast or grab things from Lidl)"

"We had a few issues leading up to the booking with Trip booking us 2 rooms by mistake but it was no problem to sort out with the hotel; they could see it was a duplicate and it was sorted. The hotel were very good at replying to emails and phone calls too. When we arrived (late at night) reception was manned and they were very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 2 nights and loved the location as it was just off a main road that we could take to drive into Cardiff or to Newport easily. But not close enough to the road to be bothered by road noise. There is also a very nice pub on site - we didn’t make it to eat there but it was lovely to have a few drinks."

"Nice hotel but bit out of way of Cardiff centre. We were advised not to walk back at night but use a cab service as the area being developed and we were just warned it may not be as safe as we would expect Hotel was busy and at breakfast it was hard to find a table free or cleaned for you. Coffee area was very untidy and littered and floor by food felt slippy and the area was messy with food. Room was nice and spacious. Our TV didn't work, there was a cut cable on it. Don't think I'd go again but once area is developed it could be a good place"
