It was a lovely place with nice people, personable, safe with off street parking and an easy walk to restaurants. The building was full of character and they had a wonderful 2nd floor lounge area with a full kitchen & half bath for all to use. Our bedroom had 2 Q-size beds & plenty big for 2 people. Room was super comfortable with it's own coffee maker & refrigerator & it looked over the street which I loved. And the breakfast was super tasty. We loved staying there and would stay there again.

We stopped for the night at Carlisle House and the room was fabulous! Carlisle house has so many amenities it is fabulous!

Carlisle House is charming with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was delicious. Jessie’s Room has the best shower ever.

The room was a very nice size but not only did it face a very busy street with no sound insulation, the street lights were very bright and there where no blackout curtains so the room was illuminated all night long. Wallpaper was starting to peal on the ceiling. Breakfast was so-so. A quiche, small bowl on watermelon cubes and scones. plus juice and water. We would not stay there again if we are in that part of the country.

I originally booked for 2 nights, and enjoyed it so much I stayed for 4. The room was large and well fitted out. It had a very comfortable bed, good lighting and everything else you could ask for. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and it was nice to sit at a beautiful breakfast table with proper cutlery and plates. The great thing too, it was walking distance to all the historic sites downtown and yet located in a quiet part of town.

The room was perfect! It was clean, well organized, and comfortable. The staff was excellent!! They were quick with replies to questions and so courteous. The breakfast was VERY good! Definitely a great place to stay. There is no comparison to a hotel. This is a place that we will be visiting again!

This is a lovely inn right in the heart of Carlisle. The rooms are charming and welcoming, and the people who work here are personable and kind. The breakfast is delicious—warm quiche, fresh quick bread, scones, fresh fruit and a variety of juices each morning. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the rooms are very quiet. There were many people staying here when we checked in, but I didn’t hear them in the Hayes room where we stayed. I love the historic touches—such as a cross section of the original wall and a plaque explaining how the wall of the inn was made. Also, the inn sells fragrant soaps and lotions in the foyer and it creates a delightful and welcoming scent as soon as you walk in but it’s not overpowering. There is ample off street parking behind the building as well. We visited during a heat wave—days of 100 degrees—and our room stayed nice and cool. This is an oasis of the past with the amenities of the present. I will definitely be staying here again.
